I don't recall that at all in MW2. MW3 and/or 4 (they where so similar, hard to remember) had a coolant flush system though. You could hit a button to flush out hot coolant and replace it with fresh, cool coolant. The longer you held the button, the more coolant was flushed. There was a bar on the side that showed you the amount of coolant available. (I never liked that system personally.)

It's an adaptation of the Coolant Pod equipment from the tabletop game. It was supposed to be a reservoir of liquid freon that could get flushed into your coolant system as an emergency measure, effectively doubling your heat sinks. The reservoir was stored in a pod which too critical slots and would (you guessed it!) explode if hit before use.
