No incentive for mechs to cap, leaving only some mechs to cap whilst the others go and takeout team in weakened numbers reducing chance of victory.

Bonus for finishing a cap regardless of a win or not.

With the lenth of cap times, smart teams will ALL stay on the cap so it "INSTA" caps then move on.

Light mechs in particular need some bonuses for doing their jobs. Most of the XP now is damage centric and that does not translate well for mechs (*cough* Locust *cough*) whose job it is to stay out of the fight and be all sneaky (which giving the Locust ECM would have helped).

I think it would be a good idea. It would help give lights and some meds and even heavies like dragons more usefulness and make teams think before just dismissing certain mechs in certain situations

I absolutely agree with cdlord and the op. Imho it's necessary to be rewarded for helping your team in other ways than just killing and making damage. Fortunately the devs are working on role specific rewards as they mentioned in the atd quick fire edition.

It sucks right now because I know that capping points for my team will win us the round, but because it takes so long I will be out of combat, not recieving CBILLS for shooting other mechs.
CBILLS should be awarded for uncapping (making neutral) and for full capping (Filled blue).

Yes, we need more rewards for actions that contributes to the team wining the match that DOES NOT involve combat. And I've always supported re-adding c-bill rewards for capture wins. It was a bad call in PGI's part to remove those rewards in the first place.

I've also felt cheated every time I used my light to capture bases to insure victory, but then my team manage to kill the entire enemy team and I get nothing for the effort of making sure we were ahead in the capping game.

As for me it's the only point in gameplay I really regret. C-Bills and XP for damage but not for capturing points. I'm waiting for a change with every patch they make.

Hint: Everyone else here is talking about Conquest.

Capping does need to be rewarded in conquest, but its got to be done in a way that can't be abused/farmed... maybe reward a player the first time they cap a point, so you can cap each point once and get a bonus for doing so? But I guess even that can be abused... :)

I would like to see much shorter cap times in Conquest though, make the matches much more fluid/dynamic.

Im against cap mechanics in general (can see my thread here) AND it was a sarcasm anyway...

I dont play conquest at all and every time I rarely try it (with any mech weight) - I regret. I suggested to change it so you would need to control at least 3 any bases at once to get cap points to make it more interesting.
