We were seeing a phenomenon tonight pugging in a 4-man group: 'mechs that cannot be locked or scanned.
We saw this ONLY on Crimson Strait, so my guess is it's related to the turrets; effectively, an Firestarter in the first drop, and a Battlemaster in the second drop both simply could not be (visually) locked.
You could still manually lock them and target them with LRMs, but without any visual reticule or scan information; not even a call letter. The loss of visual lock happened for our whole team, including off of each other's locks and direct.
Has anyone else encountered this? I'm wondering if I should submit a bug report ticket. I'd bet my bottom dollar it's an issue with the turrets adding more lockable things.

I've had this happen one as far as I can recall since the new UI2.0. For me it was an Ember, and it was kinda difficult to know if I was locked onto him, till I noticed my SSRMs where shooting at him.
If you have evidence, I'd report it. I took it as a one game fluke so far and am awaiting to see if it happens again before I personally report it. (But seen as I know other people are also having this problem...)

It's known issue on maps with turrets. Reported it some time ago.
