Alright, guys; crunch time over one single planet in the coming weeks.

We know how it ended in the books, but we don't have to resign ourselves to that fate.

Likewise, let's consider what happened the last time they hosted a Community Warfare event.

Let's not repeat that again.

So, time to practice. Time to skill up those mechs, get them mastered, get to practicing your target ID, following directions, focusing fire, moving as a unit, and minimizing friendly fire.

Also, it might be time to start working with other units in your game: if you are in low numbers/alone/unaffiliated, and you see a majority unit on your team, ask them who they are, and ask for their Teamspeak. Join in for the match, and work together to acheive victory.

I know all of the major units will welcome more fresh players into their ranks to get this done.

Let's do this, and do this right!

Even if we win, op. Revival will be back at its starting phase .. -_-

But we can still have our last chance for glory! We shall win at Tukayyid!

Quote

Though victorious, the relatively green Com Guards took more than forty percent fatalities, with even more injured. Despite their much higher level of experience and life-long training, the various Clans suffered almost as bad, with the Wolves taking the least fatalities at 20 percent through to the Diamond Sharks forces who were virtually wiped out.

The veterans couldn't save you then, the recruits won't save you now.

See you on the ground, Clanner.

Even if the clans win they will just take the planet away again. Oh wait, that already happened.

The chances of us winning aren't good given the population unbalanced. Im just hoping JFP can be ranked first for the Jade Falcon leader board ;)

What about communication between the major units, I am not sure how we will all be able to drop onto a single planet, but I assume some communication might be worked out so we always have units attacking or holding territory.

Quirks or not, we will win this one.

As always, this will be determined by what side the major Merc units throw their weight on, whichever side has the biggest merc contingent that weekend will win.

I'm pretty excited about this event. I should be able to put a good amount of playing time well into Friday evening. See everyone on the battlefield!

Sounds like they're headed to Wolf-ville, so you guys should do pretty well.

It win/win for the Clans either way. If Clan win the planet they get bragging rights.

Now if the Clans lose. It shows the IS are over pop and over Quirked.

To be true to the lore, I dont think clan Wolf should be able to fight until 7 days have passed. Discuss.

Depends on your timezone coverage. If the nightshift takes all the slices, the clans will have attack into the quirked is mechs brawl playstyle. While not an issue for organized teams, it will put a hardship on the clan puggers. Combine this with punishing play styles of the IS organized comp teams and there will be a drain of players soon as they hit their challenge rewards setting. If thats 10 80pt fights, the collapse will be sat evening, leaving only the hardline clanners to carry on alone.

But of course it couldn't be down to IS player skill, no, of course not.

Look, the clans paid a lot of money to be better at this game than the IS, so there's no way that can happen.

What awesome skill does it take to use your near-instaneous lasers, easy mode ACs, better LRMs? How much heat management does it take to fire 4+ ERLLs at once again and again with your Stalkers? How much does it take to use a light in a hit-and-run role when you can change its engine to max ?

How much skill does it take, on the other hand, to hit your weak points with 2 CERLLs for the full beam time AND not getting too much damage while exposing yourself to direct fire you can hardly spread AND not make your heat raise too much?

And to land all your UAC20 shots on your same area? That is nearly impossible, while the IS AC20 has a single shot. In truth, you almost only see Gauss rifles on anything lighter than a Warhawk..

CLRMs get taken down more easily by AMS.

Our ERPPCs are HOT, and while they do deal 15 damage, only 10 applies to the desired area and the rest can spread on fresh areas or even dissipate ..

And MOST of our arms are very low, forcing us to expose ourselves even longer in order to fire.

Fixed equipment more or less balances the lighter weapons; some 'Mechs in canon configs are over or undersinked.

If you talked about weight or XL engines, you could have started a discussion, but if you think Clan weapons take less skill to be used effectively, i do not know honestly what game you were playing
