Imo ghost heat needs to be removed. The PPC base heat is so high now, you couldn't run a 4PPC stalker even with ghost heat gone.


LOL! So you think that 40 Heat would be hard to manage when players are doing it now with Ghost Heat active @73.6 for a 4 pack Alpha? LOL!

Please give me back the 7.0 LL without GH. PLEEEASSSSEEEE!

Just take away pin point convergence then 4-6 PPCs are not so scary! :)

well idk about anything.... but i still use 4x LRM15 in one of my battlemaster, um still have a lrm darken the skies stk-3f. have multiple mechs that run on only 2 ER/PPC's one is a pult (not the k2) another is baby.

i still suffer tumulus defeats in my 3 erppc blast furnace awesome 9m, while my 3 PPC battlemaster is still very effective with its high torso mounts. it is sad cuz i do remember the awesome not being quite so squat (just very "boaty" like the stalker) in previous games.

what about straight missile boats like the cat-a1 and the c4? i used to rock 4 lrm 10's in my c4, now with the stupid extra missile pods i just run 2x lrm 20's or 2x 15+art. so for all their differences in hardpoints my c4 is now just a slightly more armed c1, otherwise they are both loaded the same...... to me this says "use only either 2 large racks plus possibly ART, or just go stupid with +4X lrm 15's+art, ammo, armor, heat and speed to the wind, if you can smash 2 assaults with what little ammo you have, you have been effective.

cata-4x? has no options it simply is 4 ballistic slots with your choice of small or med lasers and a small missile pack..... realistically it can hold like 4x ac2's or 4x ac5's or 2 ultra 5's +2 smaller ac's of your choice, and mix and matching those guns are 99% of any cata - 4X build. if you wanted to use guass, ac/lbx 10's or get that magic ac20 in there, go for ilya. which is also basically a pure ac boat.

I run at least one mech with 3 ac2's and JJ+advanced zoom. is this boating?

sold my poor awesome 8Q because after ghost heat there is no build that you can make in an 8Q that wouldn't be done better and more heat efficient (possibly more speed to) in a 9M

so idk but alot of mechs once you get down to them are built to boat at least in one way or another... i vote more weapons so i can at least choose some variation. i mean awesome 8Q, look at it, yes it can have alot of med lasers, yes you can manage 4 LL or 4 ERLL but wouldnt it work better in (don't say) a 9m?....... because of its higher engine limit? can rock a streak6 to keep the lights away? vs just straight up overheating every single shot?

i rest my case. your honor i remand myself to the mercy of the court.
