Do you think that the Stalker or the Highlander will take it's place?

The only way the Atlas would get the shaft is if they put in a King Crab with arms like a Jagermech or a Marauder II (jumpjets!). Then that mech would take the Atlas' place.

No they won't. Atlas is still as viable as any Assault for certain rolls.

I choose Highlander then because the Atlas and Stalker have always been weak.
The Atlas moves and torso twists so slowly that it's an easy kill.
The Stalker falls apart when it loses one side torso.
The Highlander is a PITA to fight against.
