ayone else dont understand why they cant warn us about it?




this game traps you so hard, the game is fun and provides a great simulation of piloting a mech.

its smart and tactic-full. good graphics. good sound (except the PPC), good skills and gear to work up to.

but then, pgi gives off such an amateur feel that it gives everything a bad taste.

creative updates are never on time and the content being patched is usually about them making money. ive put quite some money into this game and as a paying customer i think we deserve better.
we should get better more frequent content, we should get notices of when patches are.
we should get a company that respects itself to stand by the time line they put out.

honestly, the game is great fun and i enjoy it a lot but pgi manages to ruin the fun.

PGI please for the love of god, put out more information via the forums!
we deserve better than this! and you owe it to yourself to be more professional.

we get the november patch before we get the creative update, thats just wrong and amateur like behavior.

sorry for the qq but there is a small part in each of you that knows im right about this.

also just saw the patch notes. disappointing, especially since they advertised the jester in the background of the new map.

Yeah... you might try to subscribe to the certain forums you want to hear from. Also, I received an email last week that they would be patching again this week, only one week from their previous patch, and I received an email 15 minutes before they were to begin patching. I can't even play the game, right now, and I'm receiving news.

Perhaps, were they to do an announcement for everyone, like other MMOs do, in-game chat, that would be better?

I perceive no problem with the availability of this sort of information, its been available for quite some time. Maybe pay more attention.

They patch at 10:00 PST on the first and third Tuesday every month (and have for more than a year now). When the occasional month with 5 Tuesdays rolls around, they usually patch that day too.

As far as like, the timeliness of the CDUs - well, they're freakin' busy, man. That {Scrap} eats time. And patches are not "usually about them making money" there's like, 1 new hero mech each month and that's it. The rest of the patches are new maps, bug fixes, balancing tweaks and the like, and that's all 100% free.

Edit: and as far as the contents of the patches...

Well, for this most recent one:
1. They teased the Jester a week ago
2. They told us they'd be nerfing seismic and giving bonuses for using the UAV like, 2 or 3 weeks ago
3. As for bug-fixes, if they know they're going to be included in a patch they tell us before hand, but I'm assuming a lot of these types of things come right down to the wire, so if it's a minor fix or something they're not sure they're going to be able to fit in by patch-time, they just update us in the patch notes.

i havnt been around for a long time. came back after last patch.

i dont think i have to dig for news about patches. it wasnt in the anouncements and it wasnt in the command chair.

and also why is there no ******* content already?? where the heck is UI 2.0?! new weapons?! CW ?! CLANS?!!

fixing bugs should be a regular thing for every patch. now they nerfed seismic (personally i dont give a damn), and there is nothing new except for champions and heros which are both lame.

Tuesdays have been patch days since MWO began. It would be hard to play the game every and not know that.

yes but patch notes hit after or during patch time.

So what would be your gain really to know 12 hours before the patch what it's going to include?
And you should know when(which Tuesday) patch is coming if you bother to read forums at all.

information is strength. say i wanted to buy a seismic module the day before patch...

also it would be wiser for PGI, because then they could fix stuff the community wont like before they actually introduce it.

yes my brain is too full of other information and for some reason i can never remember that. would be easier to have a banner at the main page or the client "PATCH DAY TOMORROW."

I know forum-piling on him is appropriate, but this is a legitimate point. There should be a notification in the game client when it starts when the next patch is scheduled. And in-game notices for things like 15 min & 5 min warnings.
