Thanks for the UAV credits and XP. I love them, finally grinding in a light is way less painful as I can use my lights in a scouting role and get some decent payback for them. The only issue I have is with the cost of the UAVs. AT 40,000 c-bills a pop and at best I can get 8,000 - 9,000 in bonus c-bills if I drop that thing right in the middle of 7 or 8 mechs, it's a losing deal. Is it possible to have the UAV's cost a little less? Especially since I spent the general exp to upgrade to the better model? The same thing works with the ART strike. It will do about 90 damage to a single mech if I hit it perfect, close to 200 if I get a crowd. But that is still really expensive. Since I only get about 5k for the damage bonus. Either way I really like the ART strike blast! Makes using them even more fun. Thanks again.

The UAV detection rewards simply need to double the rewards the C-bills side of things.

Every mech detected (5 secs) = 500 C-bills
Proposed change = 1000 C-bills per mech detected

So, for C-bills, 1000 * 12 (mechs max) = 12000 C-Bills, max (with the default 25000 C-bills in winnings). That should be enough to justify it.

As currently constituted, it's not enough... unless LRMs are in use, which is a gamble in itself.

The UAV XP/CBill earnings I don't think are supposed to be enough to make up for the cost, as you still get some benefit.

Don't expect to be buying consumables to make more money. Honestly, I think it would change the game negitively if they did.

It's not really worth it as is in a regular match. You only need enough to justify using it in a loss. You're mistaking it to be a profitmaker which I don't see it being at all (and it hasn't been since its debut). It eats into the rewards so much so that it isn't used often enough in a regular match. Only 12-mans gets more use out of this due to its limited benefits.

It gives out more exp for harder to grind mechs like the locust or 5v spider if you pop it in a good place, im fine with that.

Consumables should never be a money maker. That being said, I feel it the rewards should be increased.

Same thing for Artillery. Give bonuses for actually hitting mechs with the shells.

Don't think they need to be a money maker. But they shouldn't wipe out my entire earnings either. if I play both an art strike and a uav, which it what I think a "scout" mech's role should be, it cost 80k. The payback for using them is only about 10k - 12k. That's a 70k loss. It wipes out any thing else I might earn during the match. If the cost of the two enhanced versions was 20k -25k, that would reduce my loss to only about 40k. That would be sustainable. Remember also that these are best case deployments. Miss with either (which I do often) and you earnings are around 1k. I don't think with a typical deployment that they need to be money makers, (though a perfect deployment should net you some gain), but I think leveling out the typical loss would be fair.

I'd like to see LRM lock - on times decreased when UAV is up on an ECM mech. given the uav short duration the locks on ecm mechs take to long to get right now. 100% lock-on time bonus for the missile mechs would be nice.

i like new uav bonuses. And i like uav as its a good counter to ecm AND good tool for communicating intel.
What i hate about it - is *bad* interface. every time i use uav, i have to open mech lab, modules, right folder, scroll it down, double click on right stuff, then click "Yes, i want to buy", then click save and then "yes i'm sure". Then wait 5-15 seconds while changes travel to server and back. Why do you people hate me so much? What make things worse - i often forget that i have to buy new one just after i hit ready button, which i cant stop. I know that ui2.0 is promised, but how can i trust you with making it right if 1.0 is so bad?

As for cost vs reward - well i think of it as an exchange of c-bills (+ skill) for exp. A bad one at that, since surv. kills almost always bring me more bills and exp (which is strange - since i rarely do any real damage). But still one uav do a lot towards winning in a match even if no missile boats are present, so in my opinion its worth it.
