If You Had To Pick Just One Mech To Pilot For The Rest Of The Game, Which Would It Be?

I'd add a poll, but they don't allow enough options.
For me, I gotta say ShadowHawk.
The Jager, Victor and Hunchy were all real close. The Cent not far behind that. But. The Jager and Cent and Hunchy lack JJs, and the VTR, much as I love it, just doesn't have the speed and mobilty that I crave. The Shad on the other hand is tougher than it has any right to be, can pack a wicked punch and is very mobile. It sorta is the epitome of a Medium mech in that it's versatility allow it to shine in almost any role.
And obviously it's impossible to even debate Clan Mechs, Fleas,, Griffins etc since none of us have driven one. So just the mechs available now.

So if I had to chose one mech right now, it would have to be the Cataphract. Mainly due to always being an AC/20 fan and it has decent enough speed. I am guessing I might like the Thunderbolt as well because you can make it go faster but not have as heavy an AC. Also, the CTF has enough energy slots for some medium laser fun to go with an AC. Smallish side toros.

AS7-D(F)
If I could choose from the Mechs that will be:
GRF-1N(P)
Edit:
I forgot the "and why" part.
AS7-D(F) - This mech has 100 tons (90 tons) to play with. It has every weapon type, the most possible armor, can run either single heatsinks OR double heatsinks, doesn't require endosteel, but simultaneously can benefit from it. CT energy hardpoints make this mech able to swing back even minus both left and right torsos, and the unique geometry, as well as the faded paint job make it the downright most sexy 100 ton mech on the battlefield. Currently it lacks the updated geometry as well, only adding to its sex appeal.
GRF-1N(P) - The Griffin is my favorite mech OF ALL TIME thanks to Battletech: The Crescent Hawk's Revenge. http://www.sarna.net...t_Hawks_Revenge
I always selected the Griffin as Jason Youngblood's starting mech and it has served me well.

if there was a JJ version available, I probably woulda stayed true to the Hunchies. the Twist mobility on them, and their size just favors a pilot minded fighting style.

It's a great mech that is also well rounded enough to give me my fix of each of my favorite roles.
