Hello!
I am pretty new to this game but an old fan of classic BT and all sort of BT-related PC games. I recently bought a Jagermech because along the Rifleman it was always one of my faves.
The Jagermech is concepted into a role of being an anti aircraft platform so i found it a bit disappointing that the up and down range of the arms is so very limited in this game. I mean it is impossible to fight aircrafts if you can rise the crosshair only slightly above the horizon. And it should be a range up to nearly ninety degrees, right?
Well I know there are no aircrafts to fight in MWO but shouldnt the Jagermech fit into the anti aircraft roll by it moving abilities?
Discuss!

Is your arm lock unchecked in the options menu? (and not using the third person view)

But take heart! You're arms, with no horizontal movement can target anything standing between them. Just put two gauss rifles on them and see how easy it is to shoot a spider that is standing between them.

The Jager is one of the best mechs in the game. Discussion over.

Yeah bro, check your arm lock... Then your biggest issue will be the difficulty of accurately targeting something that you cannot see because of your cockpit windscreen. I'm always trying to target enemies below my FOV especially in Canyon and Alpine.

I am not saying the Jagermech is a bad mech - I have fun with it so far but on some maps I was wondering that i cannot reach targets that are high above me which is weird if the mech is supposed to fight aircrafts isnt it?
Armlock is a good point. i am going to check that.

ftfy
Just don't forget to add armor!!!

Happy hunting, the Jager is tied with the Shadowhawk as my favorite chassis in the game!
