Hello,

I'm new to MWO and was wondering if there was a way to move hardpoints on a mech? If not, is there a way this could be implemented? Would that even work?

For example: Centurion 9-A . . . I'd like to put the missle hardpoint in the arm and the ballistic hardpoint where the missle hardpoint is.

This could open up each mech to be more customizable for each player. I've read a number of forum threads about the hard points being bad and some people want them disposed of entirely, I disagree. I like the restrictions. They add 'flavor' to each mech, however, I feel 'mobile' hardpoints could add that 'bite' we often look for and open up a whole new view/playstyle on some of the mech models and their variants.

Perhaps this could even put rest to the other half of the argument? A neutral ground? Your thoughts?

Regards,
Boogie Nights ;)

No you cannot, and you will not be able to. The closest you will be able to get to that is with the clan mech's omni system and even those come with limitations.

What you described is the concept of the omni mechs, but the existing IS mechs aren't omni mechs. There are some IS omni mechs eventually that we may see.
