So I've seen this mentioned many times, but nobody explicitly explains what tabletop is. The only thing that I can think of is those action-figure type things with the rotating dials at the base that determine the attack, move, def, and whatnot stats along with a heat dial. Or is Tabletop something entirely different and I've just been hallucinating for the past 14 years?
Oh, and what's a PUG match?

I apologize if this is posted in the wrong subforum.

table top (TT) is were it all begain. and yes you have a good idea of what it is. back in the dark days it was just a box with cardboard cut outs and mech sheets, played on hex maps, with dice rolls. some folks get down right crazy with the whole figure painting bit.

PUG as far as i can figure out arond here stands for Pick Up Game. or just randum players droped into a game. there are some premade groups that drop together. for most of us we drop PUG or by our selves. it seems that every drop has some pugs in it. BTW if you are PUG and the other side has 4 or more players in a premade drop it can hurt alot

PuG does indeed stand for Pick Up Game - the term actually comes from (presumably casual :P) sports fans/players

PGI has stated however, that if the other side has a 4 man, your side will have one as well.
(exceptions exist if there is no 4 man to match it with)
That does not however... guarantee that your 4 man is at all competent.
