AND, why cant I say spend the money and have that camo pattern for all my mechs?

15 bucks a mech for a couple colors and a paint scheme? Really?

Thats extremely redicilous.

Now, 15 bucks for a camo pattern I could put on ANY mech? Still way to much. But Id probably do it because I could make all my mechs look how I want them.

This has probably been discussed, just wanted to mention from a new players standpoint that the extreme cost of "Look Good" customization goes a long way in making people not want to play.

Thanks for reading,

The game is free to play. That doesn't mean it's free to develop. Paying to look good is imo the least pay to win monetization method out there. I'm sure PGI will be very interested to hear how you would replace this income.

If your point was just that the prices are high, sorry, but PGI certainly has data of people's spending, and the current pricing is obviously very profitable. I rarely see many olive green mechs in the matches I play.

Yeah, as a player it would be nice to get more for less. Preferably all for free. Business is business.

Mechs are free, basic colours are free and every weapon is free, other than mech bays there is nothing you must buy to play the game.

Servers and commercial internet service isn't cheap, pgi has staff to pay etc. So cosmetic items are where they make much needed money.

A permanent camo pattern for one chassis is like THREE DOLLARS.

note that if you buy the el cheapo single-use they are 75 or 125 MC. 75 MC is 40 cents. 125 MC is 70 cents .

time 3 for three mechs this is $2.10 to put a Custom camo pattern on 3 mechs of a chassis. $1.20 to put a regular camo on three mechs.

Colours are more expensive (about $1.40 or $2.78 on sale) but they unlock for all your mechs.

Buying a single $7 bucket of MC will net you some single-use camo patterns (which last forever if you never change the pattern) and a couple of nice colours to go for a personal colour scheme.

TLDR: Buy single use patterns instead of permanent ones and buy your colours on sale and a few MC will go a long way.

I bought camo for the 1st two mechs I was playing. Decided ehhh isn't worth it. If the camo worked on all my mechs I would buy all the patterns. So instead of making money off me for all of them, they only got 2. Not buying camo for mechs when my favorite one changes from week to week.
