I'm sure it's not for everyone, but I'll have to disagree with that statement.

For me it has so far outperformed my Ilya Muromets, Flame, Death's Knell, Pretty Baby, X-5, Dragon Slayer, Golden Boy, Protector and Boar's Head.

It hasn't exceeded my Misery, Heavy Metal, Wang or Firebrand, but I do expect it to catch up some - now that I'm not trying to make it work in a brawl anymore. It's pretty hard to fail with high mounted PPCs and JJs.

What are you using on your Dragon Slayer, the Dragon Slayer seems to be the best mech in the game. It is fast enough balistic and energy slots to hit hard and keep hitting even when hot, can go fast and jump.

The Jester is a complete Joke (pun intended). Its completely confused as to its role ... not enough punch to be a sniper ... but to fragile to be a brawler too slow to be a fast interceptor . . . Any one found a good role to suit it

What are you talking about? The Jester is a BJ-3 with four medium lasers! It isn't a roxor the Highlander in the face mech, it is a Francis Marion sneak around, stab them a few times and then find another hiding spot mech.

Yeah I quite like the Jester, first hero mech I've ever bought and Im not regretting it.

Its not the best mech in the game, my AC Jeager Cheese build for example is far better.

However it is a fun mech to play and looks awesome to boot if you redo the paint job.

I was using about the same build but with an extra ton of AMS ammo (1,000 seems kind of low with two AMS).
What three modules would work best with that build? I was using Senor Range, Target Info and Seismic.

Those are teh three I generally use when not using a missile based mech.

I usually go for Advanced Zoom, Advanced Seismic and either a Coolshot or Sensor Range. I run either a couple of ERLL or LL on mine and the Advanced Zoom is really useful for putting them on a particular section of the target at long range.

You know that's there's more options in gameplay than fast striker, brawler, and sniper right?

The Jester is actually fairly decent at midrange fire support, being fast and maneuverable enough to stay away from brawlers while laying down solid firepower. It's a lot more fun than playing ridgehumping peekaboo/poptart sniper, too.

Actually there are 3 more roles as of now...

1- The scout.

2- The Spotter

3- The Capper

;)
