Why not. I'll bite.

Why shouldn't they? This is a free-to-play game. A slow-feed of new content is a good way to make money. There is already a great selection of mechs available. There is no need for PGI to rush out more mechs.

The reinforcement pack is coming next month. You'll get 2 brand-new shiny mechs then.

See it how you will. I prefer to think that everyone at PGI is focusing on UI2.0. I would much rather they get the big bugbear knocked out than focus on extrenous things. We are getting some additional fixes, such as the hitbox tuning.

Keep an eye on the test servers. They've already announced the second round of 2.0 testing. It might not be coming as fast as you'd like, but it is coming.

Yes. They are a business. That's what businesses do. It's a free to play game. You don't have to spend a penny.

Supposedly there is going to be another UI2.0 test on the Public Test server this week. Niko said Wednesday or Thursday (source). Though PGI must have forgotten Thursday is US Thanksgiving. I wonder how much participation they would get.

Something about holidays and vacations this time of season.

There are other things in life to do other than complain/stalk PGI, I know I know, absurd.

If he non english speaker i understand much better.
He did poney up the bucks and I empathize with the sentiment.

why..? because at this point in the game.. the playerbase,, the older , wiser playerbase deserves joe schmo to come on and say
"hey, we just kicked this features ***, on to the next..." " We are getting there" instead we are left with ... very .. little.. delivered in a way that is COMPLETELY out of sync with a significant portion of the fans who put money in THEIR pockets.

something... and you know what..? we should see that damn near every day at this point they are so fr akin behind on everything.

THis game largely got off the ground because of the damn community... ..

Its an utter lack of respect from the parent company not to ENSURE that the playerbase is happy or at least pacified..
They are letting us just stand and cry with s h it in our collective diapers.

the corporate side of things seem to be dysfunctional at best.

Its bad form.

Because he's essentially demanding things. It has been long established that the reason for the one mech a month is because they are busy either making new ones or fixing geometry on current ones. That is purely just the mech team in charge of making the mechs.

The people in charge of making maps are making new ones or improving the ones they have in production now. HPG Moon might not even be done yet and Bryan only showed off an incomplete version.

Another Mech Pack? Once again they have a stock pile of hero mechs and have ideas but they have to make them first. The Unseen are absolutely untouchable unless otherwise a deal can be worked out. The Harmony Gold ones are the most likely for a lawsuit and all they have to do is make a mech with the name and they will charge in lawyers blazing for all we know.

UI 2.0 needs persistent touching up and fixing because it is the entire front end for us and they want it good enough for new players to adapt to. They have been working on the tutorial too.

DX11 Testing revealed a ton of bugs because CryEngine 3.PGI has a lot of trouble with HUD issues popping up because of mostly Scaleform.

Paul is currently updating all the damage models of mechs and has his hands full. Not to mention HSR and all that jazz is still under review.

CW is still being worked on. I have no idea how that is coming along so I won't make guesses.

Unreasonable demands are one thing and responsible criticisms is another.

Oh if only PGI wasn't so stubbornly holding out on using their magic wand... or maybe it's spite.

It's the holidays in North America, relax. The PGI devs did double duty to get enough content ready so that they could enjoy the holidays without starving the masses for "new", focus on large items without starving the masses for "new", and generally slow down as the number of hours of day light drops below 7 per day (Vancouver winters are dark). Hardly lazy.

In order to get this, they've worked their ***** off building extra content so they could "drip feed" us, instead of ignoring us completely; all so they could take deserved breaks AND deliver large features like UI 2.0 and you have the balls to call them lazy *****?!

Man, **** you; seriously. If I were a PGI dev, I might accidentally DELETE FROM Player WHERE Alias = 'SJ MetalDeath'. You're lucky Canadians are famously nice people.

To be fair, given the incredibly small size of PGI I'm sure people where many hats. The 'mech texure guy is likely also the map texture guy, and does website art on the side. Same goes for modelers and coders.

That said, they're actually doing a good job of load balancing. For all of my gripes about how PGI handles MW:O and online competitive play, their ability to project plan & execute has been superb. Try working with a fortune 500 some time if you want slow.

Did someone just try to excuse the lack of progress on the short days of winter?

As a scandinavian I find that hilarious. I'm sure the freezing cold is also a problem when trying to code wearing mittens :)

If you are frustrated with missing content, don't give them anymore money. If you are absolutely furious just walk away and check back in may when the long days allow them to work non-stop while the rest of the cold north is firing up the barbecues.

I'm personally going with the idea that they're doing it in order tomake us want it more. The longer we wait the more we'll love it. Either that or they're sadists who enjoy beating puppies and we're the puppies
