Regarding the date of publication then yes than the Crossbow is a Steel Viper omni Mech
regarding Lore Time - the Steel Viper OmniMech is the successor of the Lyran Mech - during the Age of War ~300 years before the Steel Vipers even existed

Regarding the thread, which uses "omni" in both the thread name and starting post, I'd say the old Lyran mech is at best a footnote as far as this thread is concerned.

An because we don't have Clans at all - I would say - that i simple presentet a version of that Mech that could be deployed today - without hurting the time line - and the not developed Clans

I would say that you did a poor job of putting that idea forth in your posts. I simply told the fellow that the mech he wanted was time-line inappropriate. Options be damned. As for your "suggestion", the only canon variants at this point in time are the 6B, 6C, and the primitive tech X version. I doubt we'd see the CRS-X at all, and we're at least 20 years out from the next variant, the 9A. (Note that if we made a sudden 20 year jump in tech I would not mind at all, I'd love to get my dirty paws on some ERMLs.)
