UI 2.0 might be just around the corner, but I thought of a few features that seem to be missing from the current interface that I haven't seen addressed in the demos of the new UI.

1. A "cancel search" feature. Sometimes there are things that come up while you're currently queued to find a game, but haven't been locked into one yet - real life happens, or you suddenly recall that you didn't load your modules on, or you picked the wrong mech from the lab to bring. Whatever the reason, it'd be nice to have the ability to cancel out of a queue.
Edit - looks like I've already suggested this one before. I needed it again earlier today, though, so I guess it's worth noting again, heh.

2. Allow the group leader to make someone else the group leader.

3. Allow the group leader to attempt a launch even when not everyone has readied up yet. If a group member is unable to ready up (currently modifying a mech in the lab for example) then stop and notify the group leader that one or more people cannot ready up. Otherwise, notify all non-readied group members to ready up, possibly with a 20 second countdown. If all group members ready within the allotted time, launch for queue. Otherwise, cancel and notify.

4. Allow group/friends to see (generally) what you're doing that would prevent you from performing other activities - "Mech Lab", "In Drop", etc.

5. For the group leader, clicking "launch" will automatically ready up, if he/she has not done so yet.
There's nothing critical there, but they would all help the UI to feel a bit more complete.

Whenever a team mate launches a UAV your tactical computer should give you an audible "UAV deployed" notification.

Another thing I forgot to put in this suggestion - the ability to veto a limited number of maps from the pool. Not only does that allow you to eliminate maps that you really hate playing, it also provides useful development feedback on what people do and don't like in map designs.
