When LRM20 and LRM10 launchers on the Heavy Metal, the LRM20 launches out of the bottom 10 tube hardpoint while the LRM10 launches out of the 20 tube hardpoint.

Your issue is related to another thread:

Right now, PGI is not giving us control, and it is unclear whether they will give us finer control over it (unlikely IIRC, mentioned in an older ATD).

Don't expect this to change unfortunately.

It would make sense to make a simple "option" called "weapon slot auto-adjustment" and set it OFF by default. Instead of running through whatever terribad custom rearrangement code that does this, it just doesn't do it.

That would be preferable due to people wanting finer control. Then eventually (aka some day), PGI can improve that code to "work properly", especially for fitting missiles in the proper tube slot. Having full proper control is more important that "weapon rearranging" that doesn't seem to make any logical sense.

Anyways, the default behavior should be that the weapon firing point selected is the highest point possible... when a weapon is added. That is the best solution that shouldn't generally compromise much (there may be a few exceptions, but for the most part, this shouldn't be a problem).

They fixed it for the battlemaster/thunderbolt (dont remember which) after I posted about the missile bug in the last patch feedback. Hopefully they will become aware of this bug for highlanders and fix it the next patch.
