I recently bought a new house and finally have room for my own office. I've been a BattleTech player for a LONG time. I will be adding the Locust, Wasp, Warhammer, Loki, Thor, MadCat and Vulture later. These are very cheapo frames, and I really want to protect these prints. They are from 1991! I do wish I had picked up the 1988 edition, which were rolled and could have avoided all those fold marks!Posted Image

Actually there are two sets. The first set (inner sphere) were published first in 1988 in a tube to keep the posters in tip top shape. Then in 1991 they released as a box set. The Inner Sphere mechs, all unseen now, were the Locust, Wasp, Warhammer, Marauder and BattleMaster. Also in 1991 they released a Clan Mechs box set which were the Loki, Thor, MadCat and Vulture.

You can no longer buy them, they have been out of print for 20 years now. Occasionally you will see them on Ebay, and typically even used ones sell for 200 dollars for the set. I have not found a super high def scan of them yet, as I would like to have copies that don't have all the fold marks in them.

OW!!! Merlin....you are....evil!!! -_- I'm so jealous! I actually remember the time they were displayed in my local "hobby shop" but opt'ed out of buying them then, as i felt they were not worth it. One of my mistakes.....in life....sigh....

Keep them away from sunlight, so that they don't fade.

I think there were three sets, since I've got the originals, poster tube ed, and a set out color prints that are about half size for the clans. I have never seen the blue clan posters.

((oh, and I'm not selling :) )

I've seen all of the Clan 'Mech schematics (saw the boxed set on the shelf but never bought it :(), but only the Marauder out of the Inner Sphere ones. I'd like to see the Locust, Wasp, and Warhammer ones.

I check ebay every so often but I only see 1 of these prints up every couple months or so.

Also not to threadjack but I recently acquired these original concept arts and I'm beyond pleased. :P
Haven't had time to frame them yet.

I got mine off e-bay, both sets, and then bought my brother another set as well. 9 posters for $74, (times two)...
I wept with happiness as i put my credit card into my cd-rom drive and pressed go.

I'm saving up to get nice solid wood frames with glass.. (about $1050 for 9 frames to fit these huge posters) and they're going to be hanging up in my computer room. It'll be glorious

*closes eyes, throws hands into the air and spins around in the middle of the room, imagining all the posters twirling around him. Spinning in closer and closer... then a bright flash of white light, and i'm in an elemental.)

Seriously? I know a guy that has... ancient... super ancient... original FIRST ISSUE... original... pewter ral partha minis, 1980's era promo standups, posters, these prints mentioned here... is this stuff really worth cash?

I still have original pewter Imp's and Marauders from Ral Partha

That Chameleon concept art is pretty darn awesome too, and I can't believe I never noticed it before, but it obviously takes a lot of inspiration from the classic LAM/Veritech type mechs (Stinger, Wasp, Valkyrie and Phoenix Hawk) with its torso shape as well as the feet. Always kinda did like the look of the Chameleon.
