Nope. MW:O is teamwork. Sure, some seal-clubbers will quit, but I don't see that as a loss. In this game, teams (or at the very least, teamwork) are necessary for success.

When teams are playing against solo players yes. If the queues got separated most of the people having fun pug stomping would probably quit the game after being forced to play other teams.
1) Chances are, if there's a premade team on one side, there's a premade of similar size on the other. Heck, quite often there's at least 2 pemades on each side of some size.
2) There's nothing stopping the PUGs from communicating and working togeather, and honestly the best premade teams are the ones that work with the PUGs. Because, you know, teamwork is OP.
3) Premade only queues cause problems for premades. Sure, 4 man teams are ok, but what about 2-3 man teams? Where do they get the fill in players?
Just because you got rolled doesn't mean it was a premade (or the PUGS sucked on your team, or they're using the evil meta weapon of the month, or they're cheating...), sometimes rolls just happen. A lucky shot takes out a mech in a key spot and it goes down hill, or their mechs were just better suited for the map than your mechs.
There's a reason the 12 man queue is separate, but mixing pugs with 2-4 man teams is fine.

This is a note of encouragement to those pilots who have yet to join a team. Playing online where each match is different is enjoyable to say the least but when you have attached yourself to a team and can work with others on Comms, well, then it really gets fun.
For months now I have been playing online with 4 man teams or as a single in PUG matches. When playing as a lance we work well together but I often watch the single player (PUG) struggle with being the first pilot forced to sit on the sidelines because of errors in judgment, striking out on their own or hiding waiting for an opportunity that never seems to come. I see pilots following close behind each other not being in a position where they can give supporting fire. We all watch “lites” who don’t perform the function of scouts and are no match when the big guys show up. Pilots don’t target lock the mechs they are fighting so their missile boats can lend a hand. And, the worst, losing a winning match to a CAP when no one wants to go back to the base to save the day.
Typing helpful hints during a game just means the typist ends up cannon fodder so gives up in frustration.. Keep in mind, a well played match is a joy when everyone is on the same page.
So… Here is my recommendation. JOIN a TEAM as soon as you can. New folks to the game will be surprised how teammates enjoy bringing new players along. You will learn how to pilot and build mechs. Don’t be shy cause just about every pilot I’ve met across our virtual universe has been friendly and helpful. Your teammate will help you with strategy, functioning with different mechs for different jobs and that’s just the half of it. You might even get a cooking tip or two.
PS: If you read disparaging remarks about your game play, don’t for a second take it to heart because those players have little regard for themselves or anyone else and are remembered by the “Good Guys”.

Some of he best advice ever.
It is in the team's best interest to help new players develop their skills. It is in the new player's interest to develop skills. Win-win. And most MWO teams are pretty cool about bringing on new players. Just bring an open mind ad a will to have fun learning.

Totally agree with Graystoke, back in CB i played as a pug for about a month maybe longer, kept getting rapped so joined the groups and never looked back, it improved my game play and made Cbills, XP and GXP faster, sure i still pug from time to time but only when we have more than four members on untill others appear and team up.
We have a great game here, yes it gets frustrating when we see pugs doing things that are wrong tactically, but with team work from voice comms, helps change how you play to become better. There are many chat servers being used for MWO and i have not been into one yet where i have not been welcome or have not had a good laugh in, OH, and fun, which is what multiplayer gaming is all about, so be advised, get into any of them and have fun playing...........Nuff Said!

just play in comstar teamspeak server
na1.mech-connect.net
there are alot of corps and random people there. everyone is friendly and the server is set up for the community. alot of people playing 24/7 and everyone is invited to join and play with each other.
during US prime time (their evenings) there are events and a bunch of other things
during oceanic/Asia evenings, some of us are rallying the guys to play 12s and other stuff.
you dont have to join a corp but teamspeak helps if you want to play 12s or do events etc. playing with random people is also good. coordination is still present in random 4mans and you never know, you might make a friend or two.

you would be surprised, majority of TS user in mwo are OLD....... kids are a rarity, tbh i would be intimidated as a kid to play on TS because everyone knows your a kid since their voices are so squeaky.
