hey guys

this is my current K2 build that I enjoy very much playing:
CPLT-K2 XL300

this one uses the XL300 and has 14 heatsinks and is 82kph fast
would the higher heat threshold be worth taking an xl275 and having 15 heatsinks in trade for only 75kph
CPLT-K2 XL 275

what would you recommend me? speed over one extra heatsink?
or is the heatsink more worth than the 7kph?

thanks for your advice!
cheers!

I recommend going faster and cooler. Drop down to MPL and PPCs. Add the max XL engine. Add AMS. Basically, you'd use the PPCs outside of 90m and switch to the rain of bullets and wub-wub within 90m.

CPLT-K2

But, I like running cool with constant fire.

You may know this, but if you have an XL280, it's the same weight as an XL275. If you got the XL275 in Phoenix, makes sense to use it, but the XL280 is objectively better if you have access to one.

One of the things that is related to engine speed is torso twist. Be watchful that you don't drop your engine speed down to much to handle the lights that will come at you.

I'd drop your LPLs down to LLs and mount more HS in the 300XL one.

CPLT-K2

Dropping to regular PPCs would be fine too. You have the LLS and MGs for under 90m anyway.

as stated, XL-280 is better for no tonnage increase.

i personally love my XL-300 catapult. going 82 with speed tweak, and having jump jets with the catapults torso twist range is fantastic.

Both of your builds are extremely hot. while it looks pretty painful at all ranges as soon as the enemy is within 400 or so switch to the LPL and stop firing the PPC's. other than that you just have to be careful not to overheat yourself, its gunna take a lot of self control

You need heatsinks no matter which of the versions you've built you run.

hehe yeah it runs hot as hell xD

yes I should have bought the xl280 but I didn't know that back then when I bought it...
I feel quite faster with the xl 300...but I feel bad about the one dhs that I have to drop... even though it's only +1.4 in threshold

the build is hot one way or the other... but what is more important in your opinion.... 7kph/torso twist or one dhs?

cheers and thanks in advance

honestly if you can handle the heat going faster is always nice. 1 DHS is probably not going to realistically help you all that much.

The 1 HS ammounts to an extra ERPPC Firing about once every 1 minute and 47 seconds. Not a huge difference. Take the speed.

I'll put this here for you to try at your discretion.
It's what I've had the best K2 luck with.

This is what I'm running with good success. You have to play ambusher with it but it really pays off when you do.

With multiple high-energy weapons, consider dopping Endo Seel (and the engine rating depending on the build) in favor of more heatsinks. Personally, I would replace the LPLs with MPLs, and do something like this.

You can shave 2 tons of armour off that for an extra heatsink and another ton of ammo...

I don't understand how you can deal with the heat in the original build. It is WAY below my minimum heat efficiency I can handle.

I run this K2, btw: 2xERLL 2xUAC5

;)

take the 300, lose the machine guns. Seriously, they're a party favor compared to your LrgPulses.

I run mine with an XL315, 2 erppcs and a single LrgPulse. And as many heatsinks as will fit. The wub/zap never stops. Having a large array of large weapons is awesome, but slightly smaller array of large weapons you can fire on a regular basis trumps it
