Hey guys, this is my CTF-3D build and I love it, I was just wondering what roletype it fits into best, just so that it's easy to tell people when they ask, thanks!

Goes a little slow, doesn't have huge firepower, nor a butt-load of ammo; seems legit. Also you didn't even finish placing the last bit of tonnage into armor.

I just took your build and made this, maybe you'll like it, maybe you won't - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...8b3060c5af6b09f

Good luck, 3D is best mech in game and very flexible for making fun or competitive builds.

I'd say it's a brawler/city fighter

I think you can can alot more firepower in There.. on topic id say its A support brawler at bes

I havent gotten my 3d yet but The build im Shootin drops the ff armor

368 std armor
Endo, 12 dhs if i remember correct (not at home)
xl 280
2x ppc 1x ac10 3t ammo, 2x mls
2 jjs

Runs hotter than most prefer but with lasers ppcs and ac grouped seperately and lasers only used under the 90 meters your ppcs are ineffective at heat wont be a prob

Try this guy. I call him the risk-taker. Yes...you are sitting on a ton of AC20 ammo ^_^

Two mods. These are aimed at cooling the mech's high heat issue. It also works with the concept that you will keep the enemy in front of you and not get yourself surrounded or "all alone."
First. For this one, Ferro was removed in favor of more heatsinks and full armor. When you lower armor with ferro you defeat the purpose of it. Heatsinks were relocated to protect the autocannon. Jumpjets were relocated to protect the autocannon. This will keep the autocannon functioning by sacrificing those heatsinks. JJs only give damage more of a "choice" which means slightly fewer hits to the cannon.
Second. For this build, the cannon and heatsinks are relocated to the arms. The heatsinks now protect the left laser. The cannon and laser buffer each other to preserve one another. JJs were moved to the CT to use the DHS there as a buffer to preserve and protect them.

These revisions both run cooler and ultimately will continue to do so even though they use the DHS as sacrificial lambs to protect the weapons and jumpjets.

Looks like a brawler build to me.

By the way, I'd suggest you put the double heatsink and jump jet you've got in the left torso in the right torso with the ac/10 (they'll soak up some critical hit damage so your AC10 won't get knocked out as easily).

Sounds like something I'd run. Much like the ROFLpult. Except it also sounds practical. Unlike a ROFLpult.

Same thing I did with my revision to his build.

It's not bad, I think. Certainly a scary brawler if you can get up close.

I don't know how much you like LPLs, but personally I prefer regular LLs. With that said, this is what I would run.

I hate patches... In Central European Timezone u come home from work to play 2-3 games, then wait LOOONG time when servers are down, then LOOONG time to DL, bcs a lot of ppl just did the same, then usually LOOONG time to patch, then....
Its usually midnight...^_^
BTW my CTF-3D is:
280XL, AC10, AC5, 2xERLL, 2xML, no JJ
A bit harder to manage weapons, but i usually fire AC5 and ERLLs at range and alpha-striking up close, firing ACs only when heat kicks in. Quite versatile build imo.

Standard Brawler.

All your weapons either close to close-medium range, with the majority being pretty short; the standard engine was a good choice for that setup.

Flip the LPL for PPCs and you could justify calling it a mid-range sniper, too. So that's easy enough to toggle, given they weigh the same and you have the slots.

EDIT: Get that ammo out of the legs though. You're asking for trouble.
