I realy would like to know what you think about it and what makes a good troll.

They are everywhere nowadays. They ruin most of my games in league of legends and i realy hope we wont see much of them here.

It already is happening :/

Just whined about that in another whining thread.. about "Why Clan should, not be added and blah" xD

I guess it is because today everyone has internet acces and can post his oppinion , in the past the communities where smaller so, less troller I guess, but the term "Troll" is a new one ? or is it? Or is it just me - glorifying the old days?

And there is nothing like "a good troll" , I wish admins would put harsh punishment to any troll, (may be mark him or so - like all of his post would be purple in colour ^^).

A good troll utilizes the concept of Poe's Law, the luckier ones will see through it, the average will consider it possibly a troll, the rest are troll bait and the Lulz to be had with them are numerous and funny. However, this site is not a place for that kind of thing. I can accept it in Off Topic or mainly Jettisoned Comms, but they have no place in Suggestions or General.

A good troll is Clan Nova Cat warriors who defends a planet by coin toss and then say "side" as the choice.

Best thing to do is to NOT feed the troll...

It's not our job to deal with malcontents, so why even stress over it? If they bother you that much, you should apply to become a mod and try to make a difference.

Aye....

when i look in the general discussion forum i dont get these guys that hate the clans. First i dont know why they hate them. Did they got ****** by kids that played with Clan-Mechs? Do they dislike the story? Are there 7 or 8 threads now? And teh best is that MWO wont have Clan-Mechs at the start and i think( i dont know it) they can play the game nearly for 1 year without even seeing 1 Timberwolf ever! And even after the invasion they could play with their tiny little Clan-Hate-Group in Custom games without any Clan-Mechs. So i dont understand the problem. Please explain it to me :)

They would become described as Chuck Norris is:

Clan Nova Cat bet "Edge" on a coin toss, and won.
Clan Nova Cat has so much power, they named exploding stars after them.

...and so on.

Usually they are big and ugly with regenerative abilities and are only vulnerable to fire and acid.... wrong kind of troll?

As an internet "troll" myself, I have to say that there are trolls everywhere and the best way to avoid them is to leave the internet entirely. >.>

Now, as a Mechwarrior, I don't want to see trolling to a degree that degrades the franchise/game, just trolling for fun.

For ya question Grayson: I don't like the whole concept of the clans, pure and simple. I don't like their approach regarding their society, I don't like their language, nor do I like their style of combat nor do I believe that this kind of ritualistic combattactics would work, heck, I even do not like their mechdesigns nor their technical superiority.
In my universe it would be no problem if they all got sucked into a black hole. Sadly others like them. So, basically I use everything at my disposal to get rid of them pests (same as they probably would trying to get id of me I assume ^^) - which in due time will be - at long last (!) - on the field of honor - ehr, I mean traps and treachery which I will with great glee lay out for those super human freakpilots =D.
I try to not let my "hate" show to obviously but I fear I fail in that quite big times. But well, one trys, one trys.
I realy hope that I havent missed anything, but I guess thats about it.
~S~
Take good care.
Daniel

Thanks Steadfast, at least you are one of the guys that can tell it quiet and without insulting others but i dont understand while people raging so hard about them. I mean there is enough space in the Inner Sphere for everyone and every idea even for some realy strange things(just look at the Marik Commonwealth). In my opinion you can hate every single madman that founded the clans and i belive Nicholas Kerensky was realy mad but why insulting others and start stupid discussions how wrong the clans are? The books are over 20 years old! I can say i like the clans because they are a great contrast to the belives and the society of the Inner Sphere but i wont harass anyone that wont agree with me.

Don't feed them, don't reply to them.
End of the day they're just people looking for attention. When ignored they get bored quite quickly.

Being anonymous and not have any fear of repercussions makes anyone turn into a total ******, It's human nature. If people think they can get away with things they'll keep doing it. The recent riots in the UK were a pefect example of that. People being idiots for no other reason that they thought they could, and at the time nothing was happening as a result of it.
