So, been looking for a good RPG for MW. I kinda created my own **Warning: Self-serving Advertisement Inbound!** at www.d20battletech.wikidot.com but I am looking for something a bit more. I have also started another conversion to Palladium rules as well. I just do not like the official RPGs put out by FASA. Thanks.

For some really good easily subbed rules go look at the Cyberpunk 2020 stuff. Awesome flexibility etc.
http://datafortress2020.oliwy.net/ This site has a version of the core Punk rules called Interlock Unlimited, completely free, and legit, the author was in deep contact with R Talsorian during it's creation etc.
Good luck.

GURPS. You can do everything in GURPS.
Or BESM if you prefer.
Or you can do it a la fallout RPG and have different weapon/piloting/other skills out of 100.
If you want more variability in accuracy you can add another D10 as a measure of effectiveness.

I'm sorry, but for mechs or as some would say mecha....Palladium's Robotech series are the BOMB! I got almost all of them and played them so much in the 80s I knew them by heart. Its what got me hooked on Battletech actually

Well, the best system is mine, of course (public availability pending
)
In addition to those described above, look for the Mekton RPG. though it visually appears to favor a Gundam-like environment, it was built to work for all anime/mecha gaming. The use of a single D10 for rolls is primitive, but much of the primary rule and mecha systems are very well developed, particularly in later years.
Another independent developer put out a system simply called 'Mecha'. Not for me, but some people swear by it.
Check both and much more at www.DrivethruRPG.com

Elyam, awesome thing about Mekton? It uses the Fuzion core rules which are the same as in Cyberpunk 2020 and Interlock Unlimited.
And when I run a BT RPG game I ALWAYS use the basic battletech boardgame rules for combat, and then Cyberpunk 2020 for character actions out of the 'Mech.
Of course when they are in their 'Mech's I still have my GM screen and will fudge rolls to keep them alive.

I did a conversion years ago to the Hero System that my group was pretty happy with. Of course it wasn't a direct conversion, more of a 'spiritual' conversion. But then we tend to convert everything to the Hero System. I think I might even have some of the mech writeups still somewhere on my computer.

Slade - yes, I've known people who've done similar. I'm not a fan of Talsorien's Fuzion, so...
