How do I start a game. I downloaded looked at some tutorials but cannot find a place to shooce mechs and actually start to play..Any help would be greatly appreciated.

With the game client. Click play.
Log in.
You will see this. (Dated but similar). Read the top. Eventually "MechLab" should turn into white letters. Click there.
You will then see this.
Click a mech, click the robot icon on the upper right, and choose a game mode (tutorial and testing grounds are good ideas). Enjoy.
If for some reason "Mechlab" never turns white, click Menu, Options, and turn the graphics down. Close the game and restart. It should then work.

Also: You have a cadet bonus for your first 25 games (lots of free money). You also have a free day of premium time (+50% money). TURN ON THE PREMIUM TIME AND PLAY ALL 25 GAMES IN 24 HOURS. This will net you something like 6mm extra c-bills. With the slow pace of earnings that follows, you will be very glad you did this.
