Can someone explain this to me ?
Refer to the video below at 3min 35 secs.
Since when does 1-2 secs of overheat leg a Raven instantly ??
That one leg should have 16 points of internal structure and I even took damage in the internal left torso...

What the hell happened here ? Internal overheat AC20 ? ;)

Looks like a leg ammo explosion due to internal damage... Love the RNG factor bro.... ;) Imagine when MASC does exactly the same RNG thing..

RNG Factor ?
Ohhh... Random Number Generator.

If only I was carrying ammo of any sort.. ERLL ravens do not have that luxury.
I suspect there could some sort of damage calculation bug (then again.. it's could be 'intended') when overheating in the volcano area.
Internal AC20 is really harsh ! ;)

Edit: Double check.. Nope no ammo in the legs.

Hmmm.. Thought the lava bug was a constant thing ? This one is obviously due to the overheat. Question is.. why so, much damage ?

I think it is because you were activating override to bypass the shutdown, I may not be right but I swear reading somewhere that overriding shutdown increases the chance of more damage to your mech.

I think I will do one test in testing ground tonight to see what is up before I toss this one to support for an explanation.
If I recall correct wasn't overheat damage suppose to be done only after 5 secs of >= 100% ? Or they might have changed that rule ? Hmmmm...

Aren't we surprise how unclear this topic is ?

Ok did some testing in testing ground.
And found the answer.

It seems that over heat damage can be increased by ambient temperature.

So 1-2 secs overheating in the volcano where it is hottest can mean instant death.

Man, that's just weird...!?

Could it be delayed HSR?

I've experienced it where you suddenly a massive amount of damage which is really the accumulation of damage that wasn't reported in the prior 4-5 seconds... I know JagerXII has had it too.

Yes overheating in Lava is bad news, found that out the hard way. ;)

It seems overheating over the lava on the walkways is also bad news.

Yup. You can test this issue for your self.
I was comparing Modor and Forest Colony in testing ground... It seems that ambient temperature is taken into account when you take overheat damage.

Like people mentioned.. Over Lava or magma.. I said.. Over Lava not on Lava... Could be instant death for a Light.

This 'must be a working as intended, feature.' :(
