Some people use only a single clicker to fire their weapons, and scroll through their weapon groups to fire them one-by-one. It allows people to use only a single trigger to fire their weapons, instead of being forced to use multiple buttons as triggers. It helps some people very much, others don't use the feature... but taking it away from those who did use it was a great inconvenience.
