I'm not sure if PGI actually realises just how many players they have already lost because of just this. That there is not a simple system where 2 teams can select and fight one another.

Hundreds of players have been calling for this for over 18 months now.

Well, if we're going to discuss reasons why PGI has lost players, atrocious weapon balancing should probably be mentioned...

These types of communities are the ones that keep games going. Look what it did for MW4. That game was dead for 5 years and the community took up arms and kept it alive and going. Even ADDING content. The Netbattletech engine for CW it a shining example of what the this type of community can do.

If i was PGI. I would be droping everything to get custom matches set up. Even if they are worth no cash or exp. And if that means 2.0, then so be it. or your game will continue to die. Much to the dismay of all of us loyal fans.

You do realize

that you need 2.0

to provide lobbies

which facilitate private

matches?

Got a chance to look at UI 2.0 today on the test server, they still have a ways to go I think for it to be viable.

@ Templars and OP

No one in the competitive community blames you guys for the mis syncs, you're just a victim as much as the rest of us are.

No one is happy about having to spend (Yes, this is no exageration) up to an HOUR for a single match 12v12, nevermind the fact most leagues play best of 5 which because of the MM system can take up to 4 friggens hours to get a mere 5 games in.

Its absolutely pathetic, and is a HUGE hamper on the competitive units who are only trying to play in gaming leagues.

If UI 2.0 comes out with functional lobbies working out of the gate, the sooner the better. The sad truth is a very small minority have faith that PGI will even have bare bones functionality with 2.0 even remotely working, never mind by January.

I wouldn't say anyone blames Templars for misses, though we do like to tongue-in-cheek roll our eyes and complain to our intended opponents, "Sorry, we missed, we hit Templars..."

I would love private lobbies. I loved them over a year ago when their presence became an obvious necessity. Even the War Z guys put in private servers....

We used to play out missed games, then we got annoyed at missing so many times and dragging a best of 5 match out to a 12 game marathon that went until 1 AM. So we walk off now. If that's unacceptable to the devs, then that's unacceptable to me. I've white knighted for PGI for a while but that's because their actions didn't directly interfere with my enjoyment of the game. If my team is going to susceptible to reprisals for attempting to get something out of a repetitive and mediocre experience at best, then I don't see a reason for us to continue paying for this.

I don't think at the start anyone had any issues at all playing mis-synced matches. I know we did. We'd play them out fully. But after matchmaker / elo implementation it got to the point where teams might spend an hour or more trying to even sync one match. When it takes 60 or more minutes to do one 8 - 15 minute match, in a best of 5 situation it starts to get tedious. Anyway, with the changes announced surrounding this issue posted up today. Hopefully things can improve.

Aye. We cannot be around for hours on end to play yout every match we come across when many of us are on a tight schedule as it is. Hell, Im an EU player fighting in NA leagues, I am regulary up till 3am playing matches at the very least when the matches DO sync and work well. When they dont, I can be here till 5am. And I cant go play EU, because we are still building our team.

Hopefully the new private match system will give us a great oppoturnitiy to really get leagues underway.
