Do I need to enable this? Where can I find it if so?

Thanks for the help.

As far as I am aware, the in game aspect of the badges are 'yet to come' :)

Just posting after you have bought it however, triggers the activation of the in-forum badge - if that helps :)

Nothing in today's patch notes to say it's implemented. It's one of those "coming soon" features that's not in the game yet.

Lol, Shar ninja'd me.

You should have medallions if you haven't collected those yet. Check in the cockpit menu of the mechlab.

To tide you over.

The single medallion we got for the Loyalty Rewards program for your Phoenix Package tier appears in the game automatically. However, you have to choose the LP-bonus medallions in the Profile section of this site first, then they will appear in the game.

And yes, the in-game badge is Coming Soon.™

How hard is it to design 12 3x3 images.

Very, odds are they forgot and don't want to own up to it.

Depends on which badges you are asking about. If you are talking about the Talon, Storm, Guardian, and Overlord in game badge, they are in the game under Hanging Items in the Cockpit menu. You only get one and it's whichever tier you actually have.

Not a founder so I have no idea what those look like.

The faction badges have to be redeemed here first, and they are in the game. They won't DO anything yet, except look neat.

The problem isn't in drawing the icons but in coding the game to check for them and use them. Still doesn't sound hard but it's not as trivial.

I piggybacked a mech yesterday and the guy had his overlord badge hanging in cockpit.

3x founders, 1x PGI and 1x standard player icon are in the system already. Adding 4x phoenix would nearly double the options. How do I select between the Overlord or the Founder icon? is it a check box for both options next to each other, but only one can be selected at a time? or is it a drop box that I can select 1 of three options? Also, does it matter trying to get this into the options when UI 2.0 is "coming soon"?

I think he means like the founders badges on the roster.

I believe one one the big things preventing those being put in is the conflict with the founders emblems.
With how close they claim to being ready with UI2.0 I am willing to bet we won't get them until the new UI.

Q: If I am also a Founder, can I choose between my founders forum badge and Project Phoenix forum badge?
A: Yes, similar to how you are currently able to change your forum avatar, you will be able to choose to show your Project Phoenix Package Icon. Changing your In-Game badge will be possible once that functionality is added to the game.

My guess is part of UI2.0 will be adjusting that in-game badge. They just don't have the ability to do it yet with the current "old" UI.

I bought the Phoenix Package so I could get the red OVERLORD icon next to my in-game name.

Not there = not what I paid for

Hmmm, I bought the Overlord package for 12 mechs with mech bays, 90 days premium time, and 4 mechs with permanent Cbill bonuses.

I could care less about an in game icon next to my name.

I'd rather get UI 2.0, more maps, more game modes, pre game lobbies, in game team voip, and maybe some day, CW.

But to each their own...

To be honest, to me it would be a nice feature to have, the ability to show your Project Phoenix buy-in level. For the time being, though, I'm content with the approach of chassis-spotting (i.e. if they're driving a BattleMaster, they're Overlord tier). It ain't perfect, but I'm prepared to wait for UI2.0 to bring it (and to me, UI2.0 is far more important, as it brings a lot of higher priority things I want to have).

I would second this, esp as what chassis they are driving (and thus what weapons/armor/speed combo they are potentially bringing) is more important than how much they spend on the game.
Take me for example: I am probably (at best) an average player - yet I have the whole Phoenix set+.
