All they needed to do was make it so when you buy artemis for a mech, you keep it.

I don't understand why if I buy artemis, and then swap to standard guidance later, I'm basically forced to throw away the artemis and re-buy it at a later date.

It's the same deal with endo-steel.

I don't mind being charged a fee to have these things 'fitted', but having to pay full price each time is: R-A-P-E!

AFAIK will they only introduce new items (the Artemis xRM versions), they won't change anything ingame so keep artemis for faster streak lock on

Artemis is then not tied to you mech, its bind to the launcher, if i understand it right.
No mechupgrade for atemis anymore ...

Maybe you can still exploit the bug by using ssrm and artemis-launchers combined then?
