Looking at the patch notes, it is looking like I will need a lot less CT armour for my Awesome. Side torso's are targeted consistently these days, making the CT smaller will make it much easier to kill or castrate these supposedly assault mechs. Were XL engines making these mechs to OP ? I am just curious about why the CT would be made smaller ?

Your XL survivability may be reduced, but your standard survivability has been greatly increased. Most folks generally dont run XLs in assault mechs and Awesome pilots have been screaming for this change since day one.

No need to torso twist anymore. Who needs skill when you can whine your way to a hitbox fix.

Sorry to burst your bubble but the CT changes are completely negligible. It's only half of the way up the central ridge, it's a few pixels difference and even then only if you're being shot at a 45 degree angle.
Awesomes continue to be a barn door with a CT bullet magnet second only to the Dragon.
