Question On Buying Premium Time
#1
Posted 18 November 2013 - 10:56 AM
If I purchase another month of Premium Time, will it just be added to the back of my existing period of Premium Time?
Or will it become a new standalone ''package'' of Premium Time, that I can activate when I choose, like my Phoenix bonus Premium Time?
Thanks in advance for your advice.

EDIT: I was 99% sure, but you reminded me and I just added a couple months (yay sale!) and confirmed that it activated immediately.

The above only happens if it is awarded to you or comes as a package bought from the website or redeeming something from the website.
Anything and everything bought from the game client itself is activated immediately including premium time.
If it's bought from the website, it "waits" in limbo until the next maintenance cycle (unless it's premium time, then it becomes an 'activate' button).

Thanks. Is there any way to buy it from the website? I don't want it to extend my current month as I will be on holidays for two weeks of the following month. I want to keep it in reserve and activate it when I get back.

FYI... When the sale ends, PT will ~ 67% more than the sale.

Why not buy when you are ready to use it? Seems like such an easy solution to such a trivial problem you have.

LOL. Nice attempt at a feint, but sadly, you're not fooling anyone.

Trivial trivialities on their own, I know, but they have a way of layering into a more interesting question.

No, I think my problem is that a pedant is wasting my time, trying to cover up his initial failure to understand my simple polite question, and his subsequent rude responses, by trying to portray my simple polite question as something other than what it was.

Not sure if clarification or question.
But it goes through the 40% off.
Which btw, the 40% off is...gone. o.O;

I'm pretty sure most normal people - including Koniving (thank you) and me - don't mind it when people asking trivial questions, and nor do they mind answering them in a civil fashion.
For example, here's how it's done, in response to your simple question:
When I bought my current block of discounted PT, my block of Phoenix PT was still there waiting to be separately activated when I wish to. I trust this assists you.

Thanks to both of you, it will help people if there is another sale if they have the same question. Personally I'm not activating my Phoenix time until they've either un-nerfed the economy or actually put in the 'extra things' that were used to justify the Cbill nerf months ago.

You're welcome. I have the same approach as you... not wanting to activate my 3 months of PT until I get a better sense of how the loyalty bonuses work, which medallions to choose, and what the goals of that system are.
Still, I'm very happy to take advantage of any 40% discounted PT as it comes along.

Same here. I have six freakin' months of premium time that I refuse to activate until they do something about additional content within the game and things to actually do.
As of right now it's just deathmatch and more deathmatch with crummy rewards.
