Honestly, I am finding that the 8V is the best one of the Awesomes. AWS-8V with no LRM or PPC convergence issues
It is nice having three LRM-5's fire from a single location. It concentrates their hit quite a bit, and weighs 1 ton less than the single LRM-15 it is supposed to have.
Same goes for having two PPC cannons in the left torso. They're basically an AC-20 with a lot of range and no issues with convergence. They both fire from the same port and resemble a single shot.
Round it out with a Large Pulse Laser for close in work, and a TAG to combat ECM.
I have been surprised by how well this is working for me. My K/D is 6.00 right now with it, but I've only played it about a dozen games so far. It will clearly go down from here.

Anybody With A 9M Can Test That Loadout For Me?

The 9M is on sale this weekend, if anyone wants to jump into the wonderful world of Awesomes.
And yes, Hans Von Lohman, I think the 8V is one of the better 8 series Awesomes. I run mine with 3 LLs (screw ghost heat!) and 3 SRM6s. If they ever fix SRMs, it will be legit.

Yeah I run my 9m with 1xLL 2xLPL and 2xSRM6 with a std 300 or xl 365. It doesn't fare well now but muh nostalgia from all the fun I had with it a year ago.
