Lone Wolves are basically drifters that always go from place to place alone. But an Inner Sphere Lone Wolf is a mercenary who works alone. I don't know what the clans equivalent of a Lone Wolf is, so could it be a Bandit Caste member or a Bondsman? What would you guys consider as a clan equivalent of a Lone Wolf?

I could very easily see a Warrior, who keeps getting taken as bondsmen by different clans, while maintaining his Warrior status, eventually developing the same attitudes as a Lone Wolf.

if clans are treated similarly to the great houses, there is no need for a differentiation.

No, a Society Member is not a Lone Wolf. Because he/she is a member of the Society.
(All Lone Wolfs are Bandits, But not all Bandits are Lone Wolfs.

I can see them as Lone Wolves due to their Rede Ritual, but they are currently affiliated with the Goliath Scorpions.

I guess there will be no un-affiliated Clan players.

This is what I was going to say. The clans have a bandit caste, although they don't really use mechs much that I know of. And they run in groups, although they probably still all have a "lone wolf" mentality.

I agree, I wish they were apart of the Clan Invasion.

Goliath Scorpions were staunch wardens, they would never take part willingly. The wolves were forced into it.

The Wolf Clan (no relation) was not forced into it, but saw a way to potentially blunt the Crusaders and redirect the methodology of the invasion to their own ends.

Sure, but they had been forced to be part of the invasion because the Crusaders thought it would be the most shameful punishment for losing their Trial of Refusal :D

But not everything went according to plans..

There are no "lone Wolf" people in the Clans. You either are Clan or you are not in Clan Space. Even the Bandit Caste were a group. You are thinking Ronin. You'll have them in the IS.

People chose Lone Wolf in MW:O because there were no better options, whether because of the lack of the Clans or the available factions.

The Clan Invasion Route and Time Line

Quote

In the Trials to determine who would participate in the invasion, Clan Goliath Scorpion was left out of the initial wave, although they were able to take advantage of the situation. With so many units away from the homeworlds on their Crusade, many Seekers began searching through areas previously considered too heavily-defended. SaKhan Posavatz himself was nearly killed on the Smoke Jaguar world of Tranquil during one such raid, barely escaping from a terrible battle outside the city of Blood River. He would later win a Trial of Possession against Clan Steel Viper in 3049 for the right to accompany them into the Inner Sphere, taking with him his retinue and a Star of 'Mechs.
