I know this topic has been rinsed and some will roll their eyes to yet 'another phoenix build thread'. But I've seen next to none where the battlemaster has been shown to utilize the 400 engine option. Here is my loadout, I'm a rather aggressive player and am a big fan of speed in big mechs. Please post any of your options/suggestions or you can rip me to ribbons for being a major noob xoxox

Don't know if 83kph if fast enough to justify using all those small pulse lasers. Obviously, switching to all 6 as ML would ruin the heat efficiency, so I'd suggest maybe finding a compromise somewhere where you have some mediums and some small pulse. Doesn't look too bad other than that for an 85 tonner going over 80kph.

I'm pretty much keeping the original config.

Changing PPC to ERPPC
Adding Artemis to SRM6
Heat Sinks to Double
Add Endo Steel
Add AMS + 2 tons ammo
Max Armor

This is NOT an alpha-striker. Long/Medium range with close in support for the ankle biters.

What I'll probably run

And what I'll run on my BLR-1D.

For those wondering:
BLR-1D - The 1D was a basic modification of the 1G model. The SRM-6 and two Medium Lasers were removed and the 'Mech had six heat sinks and an additional ton of armor added to make the 'Mech more forgiving when dealing with the 'Mechs intensive heat load from its energy weapon heavy arsenal.[8] BV (1.0) = 1,323,[9] BV (2.0) = 1,522[4][10]

Here's one with a 400 engine since you asked specifically about that.

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...b1903cb5124b42b

6mlas, AC10, good heat efficiency (relatively) lots of armour.

Assuming XL engines are a no go, then I will probably go with something like this:

BLR-1G "Ion Cannon"

This is obviously the best build, i suggest alpha striking for max damage...

If it only looked like the concept artwork.

I would be much more inclined to roll PPC's in that arm.

But the high mounted lasers in the torso's are just too good to pass up.

Well, if i like it fast, i can always run this one:

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...18dc4eb3e4d5803

or this:

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...512c48891cdfa92
LPL can be replaced by a ppc.

I find this mech to be interresting, it can carry a huge std. engine and still be a viable asset, much like the stalker, lots of small hardpoints.

Looking forward to this!

I run all my battle masters with XL 390s, you only lose 2 KPH for 3.5 tons extra, well worth it. Your build could use a few changes but its decent overall. Switch SPLs for reg. SLs, that will give you enough tonnage to Switch to an LBX 10, or AC10. Lastly switch out the LL for an ERLL you have more than enough DHS for it and you need all the range you can get when using SLs.

All things considered, this is actually fairly viable. Much more so than the Pretty Baby I'd bought the engine for initially...

I have this build but with the much cheaper 380 XL. It's so wonderful.
