As good a laugh I had reading this thread and remembering old times (btw. I still play StarCraft on private LANs), may I suggest you get back on topic?

In the meantime I'll think of a better resting place for this thread, as it is not about gameplay balance.

But fax do the same - so I get that little feedback at work. Amazing but some people prefer and use fax over email.

The topic was lame. There was no music, just a sound bug. Should we start bring in some music critics to deconstruct the meter and rhythm of the sound bug? It's potential for a paradigm shift in post-match effects in other games? Create a name to identify this class of "music" for ease of discussion in the future?

That doesn't matter! If it was a bug, or a feature, it was most certainly not modem sounds or the load command of an old C64 computer.

Well, I for one am glad that the damn bomb raid klaxon is gone when you stay on the results screen for too long. That <WRAAAAAHHH!!> <WRAAAAAHHH!!> <WRAAAAAHHH!!> <WRAAAAAHHH!!> <WRAAAAAHHH!!> was totally obnoxious and sometimes would start a split second after the EoR screen appeared. Occasionally it would show up if I spectated the same mech for an extended period to, but that seems to have stopped.
