if they made an 8-bit version I would totally play that :) even if I had to pay $1000 to find a 25 year old computer :)

I hope this vote pops its head up during launch.

I predict 12% will not be able to run it at all, 4% more than current. Which is still not too bad. If it was something like 20% cannot run it, I would be seriously wondering whats going on.

My only choice for probably the next 10 months or so would be to run this on my laptop, and it's not upgradeable.

CPU... should be good there. Minimum is a 2.66 C2D E6750, I have a newer 2.6 C2D T9500.

RAM, 4GB, got that.

GPU worries me though. Minimum is an 8800GT. Think an 8600M GT 512MB could at least get it functional? It doesn't have to look pretty, as long as it's playable.

Everyone needs to keep in mind that 1.) system specs vary with screen resolution and 2.) they are targeted at a reasonably fluid gaming experience (i.e. 30+ FPS).

CaptFrost, your laptop does not meet meet official minimum specifications in either CPU or GPU, but if all you want to do is run it on an integrated 1366x768 screen, then yes, you will be able to play. It won't look pretty and you might have an occasional stutter, but you'll be able to play.

If you hook up your external FullHD display, it will still run. Defined in this case as "the client will launch and you can enter battle". However, don't expect to get more than 10 FPS in that case... dropping below 5 when anyone on the screen actually fires weapons.

Yes, I'm confident my ATI graphics will allow me to play on the lowest settings although my specs are lower than the lower for the game. Graphics down low, disable anything else running and if needed play with low resolution.

Don't all games have a low res option now. Last game I seen it on was STO and it makes the graphics very blurred but actually still very playable. I mean it's like playing a game 15 years ago.
