Map Rotation Is Terrible

I'll be short: map rotation is terrible. Therma, Caustic and Turmaline are 80% of time and at the same time I haven't seen some old maps like River City, Frozen City, etc. for ages. Rotation looks like this now: Therma, Therma, Caustic, Canyon, Caustic, Turmaline, HPG, Turmalune, Turmaline, etc. I'll continue leaving this maps till you stop forcing them into map rocation. Make map rotation truly random.

P.S. This forum is still terribly slow.

Hehehe... I agree with you! My problem is I am constantly getting Frozen City or Frozen City Night on some days. Other days Tourmaline and Caustic. I rarely get the HPG map.

I would love to know how maps are selected.

I don't know, but it seem to me, that I'm getting worst map ever for the Mech, I've picked. For example, when I'm picking my Firebrand, I always getting Therma or Turmaline with almost 100% chance.

P.S. I have to watch YouTube for about 5 minutes before post editing UI will finally load.

Me 2 agrees. Map rotation is HORRIBLE!

I think this comes down to there just not being enough maps. So it will be near impossible for the matchmaker to eliminate all maps previously played the game before because of the shear number of people involved in each match compared to the number of maps available.

However, that said, currently terra, caustic, and tourmaline are my top three dropped on maps by a wide margin. While forest colony and crimson are at the bottom. Idk how everybody else's map stats are weighted, but I assume there are people with a polar opposite of mine.

Hmm. When I play for a long time in a row, I start having normal rotation. But every time I enter the game first time in a day, I have rotation like this - Therma with 100% chance, Turmaline, Turmaline, etc. Looks like developers are forcing some amount of mandatory "bad map" matches on us. The reason I hate this maps is not lack of heat efficiency - my heat efficiency is ok. But anyway heat penalty on this maps is too high - it just makes game uncomfortable, even if you have 20DHS. And map design is terrible too.

P.S. Fix script loading on this forum, please. Why can't you simply make ordinal forum structure? I never had this problem on any other forum in Internet.

What a great player to have drop on your team. Which, unfortunately, I had to be stuck with in a match earlier today, and they did just what they said. Complained about the map, then proceeded to drop out and leave their team short a person.

I have Tourmaline desert played twice as much as my number two most played map.

The MM is very much so borked as there shouldn't be a massive bell curve like that if it wasn't weighted.

The map rotation can be improved immensely by eliminating Terra Therma.

Terra Therma is awful.. i like all the other maps except that one. When I play solo (which is rarely) i'll dc on that map 9/10

The stats in my player profile show a pretty even spread; not to mention they've already stated a map vote option coming. So it's kinda a moot point to continue posting threads like this since pgi has said you will be able to vote on maps.
So why do we need more threads on something they have or are already addressing?

Yep I agree with you; where I understand the annoyance of being dropped into a scenario that seems to occur to often; I also realise that I am their, at the very least to make some effort for the Lance that I belong to. Instead of just being a Disco (Which everybody hates), try walking towards the biggest enemy unit you can find and giving it a few Alpha strikes. True, your going to die; but you will have at the very least caused 20 - 30 damage to the enemy unit making it a little easier for the remainder of your Lance.
