I want the freedom to derp around. To take my mech, grab some friends, put us all in some private random or chosen map, and do whatever the hell we want.

I want to practice teamwork with my lance.
I want to practice formations.
I want to improve my aim against my friends in moving targets.
I want to practice my evasion as friends try to shoot at me.
I want to engage in 1v1 duels.
I want to form tournament brackets.
I want to form 2v2 matches.
I want to form 3v3 matches.
I want to form 4v4 matches.
I want to form 6v6 matches.
I want to form whatver vs whatever matches.
I want to form whatever vs whatever matches against choice opponents.
I want to form 12v12 lights only matches.
I want to form 12v12 mediums only matches.
I want to form 12v12 Atlas only matches.
I want to form 12v12 Locust only matches.
I want to form machinima teams and do some recording.
I want to pull off some zellbrigen shenanigan.
I want to take these locusts, slap them on the rear torso, and send them through a checkpoint race around River City.

I want to have fun.

Don't worry I hear all that will come with UI 2.0 which will be ready soon.

Very soon! Seriously it's like almost done. Really. Just need like a couple weeks to tweak it a bit. Maybe put it on the test servers a few more times and it will be all done. Seriously just a couple more patch cycles and they'll roll out UI2.0 for the test servers for maybe a month of testing. It's pretty much totally done except for a few minor adjustments that will be done sometime in Q1 of 2014. After that just another month or so of internal testing and then it will be released on the test servers for a couple weeks then oh **** we ran out of money and the servers are all shut down.

Agreed with everything on your list. Would welcome these modes.
Re: moving targets, in training grounds even if they make the targets move in a circle, back n forth, side to side, whatever predictable route, I would really welcome this.
