The debate has come down to either a Partisan AA Tank or a Gotha ASF. Opinions?

The Gotha is a Star League era model that is extinct extremely rare in the era of the Succession Wars. They can also only fire their LRM-15s four times before they run out of ammunition.

These are the Aerofighters most commonly deployed during the Succession Wars. Though each model is generally associated with one of the five Successor States, overlap is easy enough to justify, and mercenaries use whatever they can lay their hands on.

I've removed all references to the Lucifer fighter and its inclusion on our mission from Chao's bio, so we're not locked in there.

Full specifications and fluff text are available upon request.

SYD-21 Seydlitz -- 20 tons -- Lyran Commonwealth
F-10 Cheetah -- 25 tons -- Free Worlds League
TR-7 Thrush -- 25 tons -- Capellan Confederation
SPR-H5 Sparrowhawk -- 30 tons -- Federated Suns
SL-21 Sholagar -- 35 tons -- Draconis Combine
CSR-V12 Corsair -- 50 tons -- Federated Suns
TR-10 Transit -- 50 tons -- Capellan Confederation
F-90 Stingray -- 60 tons -- Free Worlds League
LCF-R15 Lucifer -- 65 tons -- Lyran Commonwealth
SL-17 Shilone -- 65 tons -- Draconis Combine
TR-13 Transgressor -- 75 tons -- Capellan Confederation
SL-15 Slayer -- 80 tons -- Draconis Combine
CHP-W5 Chippewa -- 90 tons -- Lyran Commonwealth
F-100 Riever -- 100 tons -- Free Worlds League
STU-K5 Stuka -- 100 tons -- Federated Suns

The Partisan is an old friend-- so much dakka.

That said, it's very slow. and our dropships provide plenty of anti-air capability on their own. The Partisan only makes sense if we plan on having something to protect that's situated away from the landing zones. A remote airfield might fit that bill, or perhaps a slow convoy full of lewtz.

Partisan Heavy Tank

Ehh, it is but, I'll let that one slide. I'm acutally good with Rogue bringing the Ironsides.

It...what?
Only six tonnes of armour?
Heresy.

It looks like I'm going for the Ironsides this time, Thom even appears to be offering me the DHS as they're part of the engine and the Ironsides apparently has a super special one. On the assumption that if the engine is gone, so is the plane, it must still be alive.
That and the ability to sh*t thirty missiles at some poor *******.
I'm going to need to have a think about exactly what I want to do with my character here, so we'll see whether or not confirms the presence of DHS and thus whether or not I need to go figure out the ASF construction rules and I'll work on something when I have some time off work.

just don't try and alpha, the ppcs alone take up your entire heat capacity. anything beyond those is unsunk.

That bird does have issues, but I think that's what Mr. Spear likes about it.

I more thought it looked and sounded cool. "Ironsides."
That's a name any six year old boy would love.
Going to be playing a pretty naive char as well, so it fits.
The sheer amount of dakka is pretty nice too. If only it had some autocannons...

Alright folks just about done on my end. I have the 'badguys' rolled up, (yes I rolled their skills and equipment) I used the MW2nd edition RPG book and the Master Rules for all the vehicles. Unless something that I don't foresee at the moment happens I should have the actual RP page opened up by sometime tonight or tomorrow. But like always no promises. Thanks for being patient.

Ah shoot I forgot to assign that... Through RP the leaders could/should (depending on how they feel about it.) Sparky/CMO Patrick, but if either of them don't feel up to it I can always have an NPC do it. But they NPC may not always do the best thing...

@Thom: on the off chance you forgot: I am decidedly NOT a lance leader this time out.

At least not without some darn good maps.

Besides, you have the Raven with Shadow on the Crimson King, so you only need one.

oh, and I have a post up in the new thread.

Yes, I know she is on the King with us. My thought was that she is one of Black's officers, she has one of the eight 'Mechs, therefore, she would naturally lead one of the lances. Sparks gets my vote for the other if such is agreeable... Sasha has the history and the drive, after all.

Prob gonna wait till Monday night before I add anything new. I know the weekends are slow on here and it'll give everyone a chance to post or get a bio in. Remember guys, you're still dropping in, burning your way across the atmosphere and you're not in combat yet so type out your posts properly. However flashbacks are fine, as long as you don't go too overboard with them. Otherwise have a great weekend guys!
