You'll be able to post elsewhere once you've completed 25 matches.

I still think it's a huge mistake that they cut newbies off from the Faction/Mercenary recruiting areas. That should have been given to newbies as well, positively. It's not like we had trouble with spam in there.

Yes but there were a lot of banned people making new accounts, so in usual IGP/PGI methodology we get this. The pattern was set when they removed the General Discussion forum because there was too much negative feed back.... I mean there were too many repeat posts or whatever spin they put on it. How other games manage to have a GD forum without it being a disaster is a mystery. Same with Ghost Heat to solve the PPC meta.
IGP/PGI don't go for half measures.

This is a new player help, not a meet and greet. Wecome aboard, and once you finish your 25 matches you can post anywhere you like.
I do agree that opening the recruitment/faction/merc areas to Recruits might be a good idea, though, so Recruits can post exactly this kind of post freely in the appropriate section.
If you have any questions (adjusting to MWO from other MW/BT titles can take some getting used to) feel free to ask!

Maybe that's because they can't just hit and run? They would have to suicide in the Trial mechs, wait for one to be free, rinse & repeat.
I imagine most of those people get paid by number of clicks and so it's not cost effective for them to do that. It's easier to head to another forum and spam there.
