For those of you wailing and agonizing over the minimum specifications as they have been posted and discussed, please read this interview with Crytek CEO and founder, Cervat Yerli by Ars Tecnica on June 14th.

It's important to understand the Crytek - PGI relationship and understand what PGI is attempting to create; the VERY best possible MW experience in the world. It's been no secret that this was going to be a CryEngine3 product - from the product announcement in Oct 2011. When that was announced, those of you with "outdated" systems (admit it, you know who you are...) should have read the writing on the wall.
There should be no shock effect here.

Nice post.....I agree that they are trying to get out the next generation of gaming. I am excited that the devs seem to be huge mech fans, and are into creating a product worthy of us all. No doubt there will be bumps in the road, and some people will never be happy. It seems that they have their ear to the people though. They will take our input on the game and weigh it accordingly. That is the logical thing for them to do to be successful, and make everyone happy with the product.
If you need a new system, start saving....you can build an inexpensive system that will run this on minimum settings, and update your vid card later...

The true downside to outdated systems is not only for the individual pilot, but will also hurt their lancemates relying on them to get a job done when their system cant keep up with the pace. Do yourslef and your lancemates a favor and not only cover the minimu specs, but get as far above them as you can afford!
