Hero mechs are just regular mech with 30% c bill boost and, i read "a unique custom skin".

For me, custom mean having choice...

So what about choosing regular camo on hero mechs ? Why PGI dont allow us this ? It could generate a little MC income beside.

Hero 'Mechs are unique variants so of course they should have a unique camo. Why would you want to put regular camo on your Hero? At least they allow us to change the colours now. That was not always the case.

What about founders and phoenix mechs?

There is nothing unique about them, why should we be penalized for spending $$??

I really want to reskin my Shad2h(p)

Why ? Because tiger stripes add so much more "grrrrr" to my mechs ;)

Yeah you are right, it is OP. :P

its simple i'm used To use mountain camo from black to white and I hate it not to use that camo on 14mechs in my hangar.
that's the reason.
and tiger stripes looks better than phoenix camo or silly flames imo

I am just saying, Hero 'Mechs lose their uniqueness without a special camo that only those variants have. Otherwise they just look like any other variant.

Being unique is NOT a penalty.

You want to re-skin a SHD-2H? Buy one with C-Bills or MC and re-skin it all you want.

Founder 'Mechs are unique.
Phoenix 'Mechs are unique.
Sarah's 'Mech is unique.
Saber 'Mechs will be unique.
Future package 'Mechs will be unique.

You will be able to use it on all except for the ( F ), ( C ), ( S ), ( P ), future unique variants, and Heroes. You can already use Mountain Line (and all other standard camo patterns) on the Locust and Shadow Hawk. Thunderbolt will be December and Battlemaster will be January, when they are available for purchase using C-Bills and MC.

I feel like this is something the player should be able to decide. Maybe they want their hero mech to stand out, or maybe they want to run tiger stripe and blend in. Currently the player cannot make this decision.

I would love for us to be able to put the camo we want on our Hero 'mechs

Really - the reason that Hero Mechs have an unique camo pattern is not any bizarre reason - but missing code.
You can save a camo pattern for all Mechs - but you can not save a camo pattern for a single Mech.

If you would change a camo pattern for a Hero Mech - this camo pattern would been lost. Thats the only reason - or maybe somebody proof me wrong - at least its acceptable to use custom colors - but only because it is already possible

lets see what happen with a final UI 2.1 - 2.2 or else. I don't think that HeroMechs will still have any kind of unique camo pattern than

I love all my Hero Mechs/Unique Mechs, i enjoy them ways more then any others, thats why i only have those in my Hangar... all other variants i just get to Level the Heroes. I also enjoy the look from all of them and mostly run around like i purchased them without changing the colors.
But even i would like to have a change once in a while...
i mean... this is nothing gamebreaking, is it? i doupt its much of a problem to drop something like that into Game ... also i dont want to have anything for free... i would also pay for Patterns and colors like everyone else.

The only thing i would ask for is an Option to switch back to original Pattern and Colors for them.
