UI 2.NO
Community Nowhere
IndirectX 11

No longer able to believe in PGIs ability to deliver these given all the expectations that have been set and consistently missed

they only seem to be good for a monthly mech, the odd map, minor tweaks and the occasional implementation of something idiotic(ghost heat)

Well, aren't you just the cutest lump of coal in the stocking?

ok time for some tough honesty

there will never be any new features added to this game.

no UI 2.0
no CW
no new game modes

the revenues from this game are being sent to other projects, and the server will most likely be shut down some time next year, after they have milked the last bit o money they can out of the duped community.

just try to get as much enjoyment as you can out of what we have before the shutdown

Chicago style or is APA fine?

Ooooh, I get a choice? APA if you please.
Given the flashes of narcissism, paranoia, and dissociative disorders exhibited on this forum, the APA seems appropriate.

I am hoping this a pre-release test, over just another sneak peak.

I don't know if anyone else feels the same aware but when I see "Soon™" it makes me want to stop playing Now®.

Thanks for the update but please stop being clever with your communications with us. I happen to try and be reasonable with all of this and I am happy to see the game progressing but sarcasm doesn't help people who have little faith in this game regain it. I understand that you are almost as frustrated with how the game was released as we are but it is your job as the developer to maintain our psychotic internet arguments to a dull roar and this is not the way to do it.

I look forward to the test.

Speak for yourself, I prefer my MODs/Devs to have a sense of humor and even occasionally sarcastic, rather than be lawyers and accountants. I deal with those types all day long

I suppose that's fair, but you at least understand my sentiment right? Humor is important and I don't think that they should be cold, emotionless automatons but they should give more than vague statements about those mysterious if's and when's. I want them to be humorous after they release content which has been missing in this game for way longer than I have even been playing.

Funny and productive, but productive first.

I don't believe that your humor impedes progress, I am not quite that mentally deranged, I just know from experience that the cavalier attitude that some of the devs take towards the disenfranchised doesn't help this game. I want it to succeed and for this IP to continue for many years but that won't happen if this game doesn't start to make visible progress towards the goals it set for itself.

This knowledge tempers whatever humor is attempted.

But, things are starting to look up. Sooooooooo sloooowly.

I believe in this game...

I must say, I'm little concerned about this....
I usually try not to read into things too much or over analyze but this one has me a bit worried. Are we talking next year before we even lead up to CW....?

Seems you missed out on the UI 2.0 Preview which took place last month: You can see everyone's feedback here http://mwomercs.com/...preview-survey/ (Snow, 2013)

You can also check out the last Creative Director Update to note that we have a new Skirmish game-mode on the way. (Ekman, 2013)

Not to dismiss any soothsaying, but next year we aim to see the full implementation of this as we lead-up to Community Warfare. Any server "shut down" would be a temporary one for maintenance as we continue to develop the game.

[size=4]Chicago style or is APA fine?

Niko, I don't mean to be harsh or anything here, but I'm not sure that Eckman's posts count as reliable sources anymore, at least in regards to the timeline of when we're getting CW or other major features in this game. It'd be like if I said we've had flying, nuclear powered cars commonly available since the 80s and cited a 1955 issue of Popular Science as the source. The deadlines for things that are supposed to be here have long since come and gone, and there's never really been a great explanation as to why.

The UI2.0 test was great, and I can't wait to see what's in the next test (assuming it's not falling on the US Thanksgiving). But if you read the comments from the last UI test, you'll note a lot of skepticism from players about whether the UI is going to slip to 2014 or not; the last test we had was hardly a complete release. While everyone totally gets that it's there for testing purposes and is fine with it not being complete, it doesn't speak well for the project shipping (relatively) on time when there is still so much missing.

I want this to be the game I want to play, so so so so very much. It's just hard to want to play when there's no real endgame content, most of the features that really sold people on the game are still MIA, and we're lucky to get an "It's still coming" once a month in regards to what kind of progress is being made.

Oh, and MLA is where it's at. This forum hardly qualifies as a science, and Chicago Style makes a better pizza than formatting guide!

A winter update will be coming Soon™

Soon™ The PGI Codeword for Never™

Just to reiterate. What exactly has been released in line with expectations for this title other than mechs and the occasional map?

Why, after millions of dollars of funding and at least 2 years of development do we not already have Private matching, community warfare, a suitable UI, directx 11 support.

Pretty sure UI2.0 was first mentioned over a year ago. It takes that long to put together a decent user interface. Really??

Completely stuns me that community warfare, which is a core expectation for this title, for all we know hasn't even had a line of code written towards it, and all we have to go on is a long out of date forum post, and another one about mercenary groups that was never followed up on with one about house units (inevitably under the soon™ banner). Cant even do some sort of private matching even though the game is released, which is appalling. Even bloody Hi-Rez gave their community a few IP's that they could connect to and use for organised games for the disaster zone that is Tribes: Ascend.

DirectX11 since forever. Something that Cryengine 3 is pretty much all about, not yet implemented in this title.

So when UI2 is finally released sometime in 2014, what will the excuse be then? (For lobby, CW, game modes, etc).

Also, UI2 does NOTHING to enhance game play, re-playability, fun, or any other player retention metric. It is not like "UI2 is out, let's all go back and play more MWO. Let's get our guild back together and start back on the tornie play".
