Okay.... i'm a little.... frustrated with the MM picking TOURMALINE + HORDOR aka THERMA more times in a row than i can bother to care for.... so.... ffs.... why must we be forced to play those maps MORE so than others? I'm quite frankly tired of getting those all the time.



So .... here's the # of times each map was played:

So as you can see there are some alterations and differences between the top 4 maps, this may have something to do with the grouped 4 man drops and very few single drops as a PUG. The maps are cycled by PGI as they can alter the selection % value for individual maps, BUT there seems to be a repeated cycle of the same map over and over. I have seen the same map drop for 4 times in a row, win or loss it didn't mater. Have also played for hours on end and never seen certain maps.

It should be interesting to see how PGI will allocate specific maps to go with the "select map window" (UI2.0) for Community Warfare, and what terrain types are set for each planet. As a cold snow covered planet should only have cool and snow maps. Similar to arid planets, but we need more map types for that environment. [noted, that PGI is working on a desert like map as well as a jungle terrain.]

Many more maps are needed, many. I find it very difficult to understand that the tools to create maps for MWO are not available to the registered users. Implementing a map creation set of tools would give the entire user group something to work with and build overall community moral. The Crytech/engine map tools alone allow for terrain and object creation. As can be seen from numerous maps that were created for an unlicensed Mech type game. (MW:LL) [understanding that most objects were from the crisis game.] This type of tool set does require additional resources to be dedicated to a team working on in-game map design and implementation. Additional cost and time allowed to reviewing and correcting submitted design maps.

I am sure there are many MWO players that have map creating skills, object design talent, and ideas for terrain types. We need to allow these additional resources to be tapped, yes there will be the legal details to deal with. Designers would most likely have to sign release forms to be able to use the tools and give up there rights on the maps they create. [possibly give them end credits representation.] For PGI they have a small team now and there have been design items that they have outsourced to get it done in a timely manner. Maybe they need to look at this option again after the work on UI2.0, DX11, Engine update, and the ongoing CW design is placed into the game.

I still get repetitions even when i PUG vs premade no matter what.
