Aaaaand probably the GRF 3M it's the best of the bunch among the Griffins as the SHD 5M/2D2 are compared to the chosen Phoenix variant for the Shawks.

Wolverine.. meh, probably the 7K can do something, but that medium looks uninteresting as a whole. I'll wait for the cbill versions as I did with the rest of the Phoenix mechs.

Anyway, some comparative screenshots to see their dimensions/scaling would be nice.

My favorite in MPBT:Solaris was the WOLVERINE 6M (LL, 2ML and SRM6 with JJ) It seems the 6K does not have JJ, but the 7K has again. Also very nice to have two side torsos with SRMs ;)

I was really hoping for a ECM medium.

Regardless, thanks again for the update!

Are they going to be as tall as assualt mechs this time as well? I mean really thats the best thing about the shadow hawk, all the size of an assualt mech with all the armor of a medium... NOT!

This December! LIVE on MWO public servers: PHOENIX 2: TEH SABRES!

STARRING:

  • GRF-1S, the "Right arm is my Four Awesome PPCs (F. A. P.) arm!" man;

Could have at least realized that 4 PPCs = 12 slots = an Arm with 0 actuators = definitely not an arm.
Although, you could say "Right arm is my Four Stalker/K2 Large Lasers arm"...

I declare Arm Hunting Season open!!!

This is going to be great! For us, I mean. Not so much for the people in Griffins and Wolverines.

Still on the fence about the Saber package. I really like the MWO reseen redesigns, and I would mind having a Level II reinforced lance of reseens sitting in the garage, and I do like medium 'mechs.

But at the same time, I'm riding on the mass speculation of a clan pack being released soon, so I might want to save money for that.

Someone needs to inform Sir Smurfy of this bountiful treasure we have been so fortunately blessed with!

I was debating Saber or MC durring thing Black Friday sale. This made my choice easy (MC).

Not really thrilled with the hardpoints on any of these other than the Phoenix Wolverine, but that's practically a Cent, and I didn't care for those. I'll pass for now.

Russ was already asked on Twitter if the Sabre mechs would be gigantic like the Shadow Hawk. His reply was "they will also be 55 ton mech size." So the answer is yes, they will be giants among men. Hopefully they have good hitboxes to compensate like the Shad does...

The shadowhawk has always been tall and thin, and the Wolverine more squat, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Wolverine was shorter but a bit wider.

I'm really looking forward to the Wolverine more than ever. The Griffins seem a bit lackluster by comparison, or at least the 1N seems vulnerable. Still, I'm eager to see them all!

Those two were given when the Saber Package was announced: they're on the Pheonix page. I was referring to the two other variants of each 'mech. For example, like on this website's Mechlab http://goo.gl/JwofXd

WVR-7k, for me, hands down best one. 7 JJ max, evenly spread hardpoints like butter on rye and good lookin'

Can't wait to get just that one.
