This was how I died, on a barren, volcanic landscape, with nothing but ash and basalt surrounding me. The team I was put on was quickly eliminated by multiple assault and heavy mechs, while I disbanded from a small cluster of my now smoldering allies. I quickly sprinted at a steady speed of 84 Km toward the enemy base, knowing full well that I was about to be ripped apart by an AC20. I could hear faint whispers and voices of my dead teammates, urging me on and to fight for as long as possible. As I was slowly capturing the base, a Locust came running at me, right after I heard the enemy mechwarriors speaking on a public channel, letting me know that I was going to fail anyway. I processed the message in my mind while firing upon the Locust, failing to get a crosshair on it because of its breakneck speeds. I quickly forgot about it and focused on the wall of mechs coming my way. I took a couple pop shots at them, cursing at my terrible weapon groupings, and received a combined blast of light and lead, quickly melting and skewering much of my Kintaro-20. I immediately looked around to find an eject button, but there was nothing of the sort laying around in plain sight. I closed my eyes and embraced the critical damage alarms, but once I stretched back in my cockpit seat, I caught a glimpse of my mech's torso blacking out on the interface, and then my reactor overloaded and then....nothing....total blackness overcame my vision as leaking heat and radiation invaded my cockpit.....
