I have confirmed that THIS IS WORKING! I just got out of a nostalgic game!! Darn straight! Do it up, let us get a MCX league going to get us in the MWO mood!

I thought hey, I'll give this a try, as I hadn't played for a while. (and couldn't be bothered to go dig my disc out)

And guess what, It didn't work. Surprised? No not really.

Even with following the advice for using Daemon Tools, on WIn7 64bit, and it won't install.....

Guess there is info missing on this subject...

Something that isnt probably quite obvious......

But I certainly have no clue what it is....

What did you do? All I did for win7 64bit was load up the MCG disc in deamon tools, open the cd, and copy the whole contents to a spot on your HDD. Should be easy as pie, but PCs are finicky

Got to the bottom of it.

Having copied it across, I kept trying to install it, and got nowhere.

At first I could get it to run, but it would drop back to desktop the moment I hit the drop button to begin a mission.

Tried a few more times, before realising i could run it, just hit the "continue" button when it threw the error at me.

question is, can i complete it without reaching up and flicking Through the Prima Guide that I got with my original copy of MechCommander:Gold.

CoffiNail just when I get out you go and drag me back in. I spent the two hours before podcast 3 went live playing MechCommander gold. I just reinstalled it onto my new computer.
