3f is a good energy brawler since it can twist enough to keep on target up close, which most of the others cannot. I carry a decently heavy lrm pack for firing while closing in that one. Two lrm 10's and 2 LRM5's and volley fire. then have four medium lasers and two large lasers for combat.

I like the 5M for my missle boat since I put TAG in the nose laser mount. Point and shoot. :P

Congratulations on choosing the Stalkers, not many mechs have 10 weapon hardpoints (hihihi). They are super fun, very powerfull and very durable.
I own 5S, those dual ams are so dandy but 6 energy evenly spread out are great. You have plenty of long range and short range lazor power plus bunch of missiles.
5M all those missiles and a bunch of lasers mmm m me gusta.
Misery.

The reson behind 5S and 5M is to have one energy heavy and the other missile heavy. Misery speaks for it self.
3F gets an honorable mention because of its torso twist.
The other two 3H 4N have less either missiles or energy. Like, why have less when you can have more?

I've slowly been buying back all the Stalkers I sold after I mastered them long ago, so I've running them a fair bit recently. Here are some updated thoughts from a low ELO scrub:

If you don't want to boat LRMs, the two variants that stand out clearly (imo) over the others for solo PUGing are the 3F (energy build) and the Misery (big ballistic + energy build).

Been thinking about a stalker for a little bit myself. Likely the 3F, give me some long range firing power. How does this loadout look?

It looks hot, 2ERPPC will slap you with ~50% heat and a pair of ERLL are ~30% heat. how are you gonna survive in CQB when you are waiting to cool(streaks are good to have as a cooling down weapon).
Now go out there and have fun experimenting with a stalker. You can pack almost anything on this baby.
