for a long time i ran the classic AC-20, I had tried some variations, like 2 MG's+3 Small lasers, Or a few medium pulse, or the typical 3 ML.. But in some ways i always felt under powered. the AC-20 ammo is like gold, basically it's 21 or 28 shots, and you are then a fairly underpowered mech. In 8v8, this wasn't to bad, but now in 12v12,. i just feel like i run outta ammo, and being a medium, just not that tough.

So this weekend i got to thinking, how about going with long range, fast, hit and run,, and loaded up a Pair of AC-2's, 3 ML's and a single machine gun.. (basically this became the shorter range, crit/damage combo.. Blast um constant with the machine gun, and laser back up.. with the random AC-2 bursts.

I also took advantage of the extended range, and abundant ammo, that i didn't mind trying to shot from 500-600m.. (miss 4-5 times at range with ac-20, you just lost 100 max damage potential, But wast 10-20 shots of an ac-2, you still have plenty more, and might do some damage at safe range.

Now i really can't wait for my new parts to get here, so i can play a lag free game, and maybe i'll be doing even better.

This new set up has sparked new life and fun into my HBK-4G.. and i must say it is a ton of fun!

One last thing, did they change the HBK's? I swear the torso's twist more, and they are faster.. the mech just feels like it works better.. ,

They did. Same engine cap as the Centurions. Twist of the Catapults. More arm range. More vertical range for the torso as well on certain versions (namely the 4G).
The 4G can shoot something 160 degrees behind its front. Farther than the K2.
